Skincare is a fundamental part of looking good, and it's important to find products that really suit your skin type. Otherwise, you can end up creating skin problems. As a general consensus, my advise would always be to keep things as gentle as possible, and avoid products that are highly perfumed.
I really enjoy my skincare routine as I love how smooth my skin feels afterwards. Applying makeup and glamming up is undeniably fun, but don't you just love taking it all off at the end of the day, too?
I've tried tons of skincare brands and products over the years, and the main thing that I've discovered from doing this thorough research is that gentle is best. As I said earlier, highly fragranced products cam be incredibly drying on the skin, and the same goes for products with lots of alcohol in them.
To keep my skin looking and feeling great, I stick firmly to what I know, with a little switch up every now and again. This brings me onto my two most recent skincare purchases.
I absolutely adore my Garnier Micellar products. They're so affordable and they really do work wonders on my skin. Usually, I buy the original products from the range (the ones with the pink tops), but I was compelled to switch things up after reading a bunch of rave reviews online.
So, here we have the green top Garnier Micellar Wash, designed specifically for sensitive skin, and the oil-infused Garnier Micellar water.
To be honest, I wouldn't tend to describe my skin as 'sensitive' as such, but I am always intrigued by products designed for sensitive skin, as I like the idea that the ingredients used are less harsh/gentler. As for the oil-infused water, I just thought this looked really cool, and having been really impressed with more expensive products of this type in the past, I thought it would be daft to not try it.
So, what's my verdict?
I've only been using these products for a few days, however, I have to say that so far, I'm really impressed with both. Sampling a different skincare product and shaking up your usual routine is always a risk, but certainly at the moment, I'd say that the risk was well worth taking.
Garnier Oil-Infused Micellar Water
The Garnier Oil-Infused Micellar Water is proving a dream to use, and I'm struggling to find fault with it at all. There are a lot of premium brand products on the market that work in the same way as this one, and the fact that this £2.99 version works so incredibly well is proof that from time to time, we are all a little guilty of paying for a label and nothing else. I'd say that in comparison to the original micellar water, this oil-infused one feels somewhat silkier and softer on the skin, and I'd be tempted to say that it removes my makeup quicker, too. In general, I am really impressed with this product, and I'll definitely be re-buying as soon as I run out.
Garnier Micellar Wash for Sensitive Skin
Okay so this is the product I was slightly more skeptical about trying - not because I thought it wouldn't work or anything like that, but because I find the original wash so gentle anyway, I wasn't too sure how they could possibly improve the product to make it better for sensitive skin. And I'll be honest, I'm still not entirely sure what the difference is. Now, that's not me saying that there isn't one, it's just me saying that I'm not sure what it is. Consistency wise and scent wise, the product seems to be exactly the same, and the results after using seem to be pretty much identical, too. However, this could be because I don't really have sensitive skin. For those of you that do have sensitive skin and have found the original wash to be a little harsh, I would definitely recommend trying this alternative and seeing how you go - it might be easier for you to establish a difference!
I never feel let down by Garnier products, as they're just such great value for money and they really do feel gorgeous on the skin. However, whilst I would repurchase the oil-infused micellar water again, I'd probably revert back to the original gel wash, just because I prefer the pink pacakaging, and I couldn't detect any difference between this and the green, sensitive alternative.

I love when a product that you use has similar variations of it... allows you to experiment while still getting to enjoy the original product that you know and love
