I don't know where the time has gone, but it's now been almost 10 months since Marc and I got engaged. 2017 is flying by, and already I feel like the majority of this year has been a blur - but a very exciting blur at that.
Not only have Marc and I bought and moved into our very first home together, I've been very busy wedding planning, too. It's all just been so much fun, but it was last weekend in particular when things became particularly exciting, and dare I say 'real'...
So, no biggie or anything, but last weekend, I officially ordered my wedding dress!
I first went wedding dress shopping in May with my mum. It was an amazing day and I was honestly blown away by all the amazing dresses. The wedding dress shop I went to was Blush Boutique in Uppermill, just up the road from where I live - and honestly, the dresses they sell are just incredible.
I tried on a number of different dresses and I liked them all, but there was one in particular which was just so special, and I just fell completely in love with it straight away. I knew instantly that it was 'the one.'
Months later and several trips back to try the dress on again, and I was still madly in love with the dress, so last weekend, I had all my measurements taken and got it ordered!
I don't think I even felt like a real bride to be until I began trying wedding dresses on. The whole experience of trying a wedding dress for the first time and seeing my reflection in the mirror looking like a bride was just a magical moment that I can't really explain. And now I've ordered my dream dress, I'm even more excited than I was before!
I can honestly say that I've chosen my dream wedding venue and my dream dress, which makes me so happy I honestly can't even put it into words...it's just an indescribable feeling.
Naturally, I can't share what my dress looks like in this post, but I'll be uploading lots of lovely pictures when we do get married - you'll just have to wait a while to see!
I really hope that you enjoyed this post. I love sharing my wedding updates and this is a huge one!
Stay tuned for more soon, lovelies.
Lots of love,
Grace x
I actually ended up buying a Trendy Dresses For Wedding around 20 months before my wedding and I ended up becoming my mind. I was able to sell that dress without losing any money but I know from personal experience that buying too early can be a mistake.
