Oh how wonderful it would be to just wake up every morning with a bouncy blow dry and a full face of makeup! Sadly, that’s never going to happen. We therefore have to accept that if we want to look fresh and fabulous, we have to set some time aside to tend to our faces and our tresses.
The good news is that you don’t have to spend half of your day slathering on the makeup in order to look lovely. In fact, using the right products and techniques, you can be looking gorgeous & feeling glorious in just 30 minutes.
As a busy person who is soon to be busier than ever before (baby on board!), I can completely empathise with anyone that struggles to make time for themselves in a morning. So, for this blog post, I thought I would share my top tips on how to look beautiful without making loads of effort. I really hope you enjoy & that you find this useful!
1. Apply A Face Mask At Least Once A Week
Every woman needs at least one or two face masks in her skincare collection, as they really do make such a huge difference to how healthy our skin looks.
I’m currently swapping between about 3 different face masks at the moment (The L’Oreal Pure Clay Bright Mask & The Ordinary AHA 30% Peeling Solution to name a couple of my favourites) - and I just love how bright and beautiful they leave my skin looking!
I’m such a huge advocate for prioritising skincare over makeup as I believe that healthy, youthful-looking skin is the secret to any great makeup look. So, if you want to make your morning beauty regime that little bit easier for yourself, indulge in a couple of quick pamper sessions whilst you’re watching TV in the evening!

2. Invest In A Good Quality Fake Tan
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being fair skinned and fabulous, but if like me, you always feel more confident when you’re rocking a gorgeous golden glow, then a bottle of fake tan is exactly what you need!
I always feel 1000 times better when I wake up with a tan, but there’s absolutely no way I’d ever get on a sunbed - so I rely a lot on false tanners to keep me looking bronzed. My favourite fake tan of all time is the St Tropez Original Mousse, but I’m really keen to try Amanda Harrington London, as I’ve heard fabulous things about this brand!
When it comes to tanning the face, I’m always very careful with which products I use. A few of the best fake tans for face include Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster and Tan-Luxe Super Glow Hyaluronic Self Tan Serum - both of which are non-comedonegenic, meaning they won’t clog up your pores. Very important.
3. Apply Tinted Moisturiser
I don’t know what I’d do without my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser - it’s like a skincare and makeup saviour all rolled into one!
What’s really great about tinted moisturiser is that they’re just so easy to apply. I simply squeeze a small blob of product onto the back of my hand, dot evenly onto each section of my face and then work into my skin using my fingers. The whole process takes no more than 2 minutes. It’s just so easy!
4. Get An LVL Lash Lift
Lashes that look long, luscious and dark without mascara? Sign me up.
If you haven’t already, then now is the time to look into getting an LVL lash lift. This amazing treatment is inexpensive (depending on the salon you go to, you can expect to pay between £30 and £45) and the results last 6-8 weeks. Winner!
I actually can’t get my lashes tinted at the moment as I’m pregnant and all tints are prohibited during pregnancy - but as soon as our little man arrives, I’ll be straight down to the salon!

5. Get Your Eyebrows Done
My eyebrows are another thing that I can’t get seen to at the moment, but again, as soon as baby boy is here, I’ll be at the salon getting them sorted out!
There are a number of different treatments you can get done to your eyebrows. I always used to swear by HD brows, but my mum has been getting hers done with henna recently, and I have to say, it’s clear to see why so many people are turning towards henna brows, instead!
Henna brows last longer than HD brows do, and the results are just amazing. With henna brows, there’s absolutely no need for eyebrow pencil at all, which means your brows are yet another thing you wont have to do on those days when you cant be bothered. Winner!
6. Apply A Touch Of Tinted Lip Balm
A little bit of tinted lip balm will keep your lips looking plumped up and kissable at all times, and it takes literally seconds to apply, so there are no excuses with this one!
There are loads of great tinted lip balms available both on the high street and from premium brand beauty counters. A couple of favourites of mine include the NARS Afterglow Lip Balm, which costs around £25 depending on where you buy from, and the Lanolips Tinted Balm, which comes in at less than a tenner & there are four beautiful shades to choose from.

7. Brush On The Bronzer
If you’ve already got a bit of tan on your face, then you might want to skip this bit, but if not, a brushing your favourite bronzer will instantly revive your complexion and complete your minimal-effort look.
My favourite powder bronzer is the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in shade Medium Tan. I’m also a huge fan on the NARS Laguna Liquid Bronzer, which works really nicely if you mix a pump in with your tinted moisturiser!
8. Finish Things Off With A Face Mist
I absolutely love face mist as it just helps to give makeup that fresh, natural, dewy look - and better yet, the results are instant.
I've used tons of different face mists in my time - some specialised makeup setting sprays, others that are designed more to hydrate the face. And whilst I love both, for me, the best kind of facial mists are the ones that actually benefit the skin.
Price wise, I've spent £25 or more on face mists, and I've spent as little as £5. At the moment, I'm using the Garnier Organic Argan Mist, which costs around £6 depending on where you buy it from - and it's fab! Argan oil is such a wonderful ingredient as it really nourishes the skin and keeps everything looking plumped-up and fresh. I absolutely love the dewy skin look & this is definitely one of my secret weapons!
And there you have it - everything you need to look gorgeous without spending hours in the bathroom!
I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post & I can't wait to share more with you very soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
