A LITTLE TRIP TO THE GOOD SHIP BENEFIT.

Unsure as to whether or not I would ever actually cram in a trip to the Good Ship Benefit in London, you can imagine how thrilled I am to confirm that I have now officially been.

And it was amazing

For those of you who are sat there reading this thinking 'what on earth is the Good Ship Benefit?' In short, Benefit Cosmetics recently opened a ship on London's Victoria Embankment where they are offering makeovers, retailing all of their cosmetics (with 10% off the RRP), cocktails, afternoon tea, cabaret nights - the full works.

As any Benefit babe would be, I was extremely excited to climb on board and sample the amenities. I'd read about the boat on Twitter and Instagram, and it looked unreal - everything all ultra glam and decorated in pretty in pink. So, when me and my boyfriend headed to the capital city this weekend, naturally it was right at the top of my list of things to do.

So, on Sunday, we woke ourselves up nice and early and headed straight for the embankment. I actually didn't have a solid set or directions or anything like that, simply because I knew I wouldn't need them. How many other boats would be decorated in pink, after all? Just as I had expected, I spotted the ship straight away. It's located on the Big Ben side of the embankment, almost directly across from the London Eye as you get off the bridge that crosses the Thames. You can't miss it.

All prettified with pink bunting and umbrellas, the Benefit Good Ship really stood out alongside all the other boats, and I couldn't wait to get inside. The entire exterior is themed just as much as the interior, and as you walk in, you go under a Barbie pink canopy, which Marc loved. Haha!

And there he is, keen as anything to get on-board!

Obviously I am joking, but I had to take a sneaky pic!

Anyway, as you can see, the Benefit theme is strong from the word go. I'd seen pictures of what was inside the ship, but I had no idea exactly how super it would be.

As soon as we walked inside, we were greeted by two lovely Benefit gurus who were working on the front desk. They were both dressed up to match the theme - pink and glam- and they were really lovely. After a nice little chat about makeup whilst Marc stood there undoubtedly thinking 'what are they on about?', one of the girls sweetly offered to guide us around the ship, and show us everything, which was fab.

There were several different rooms, all for different things, and there were also areas to enjoy the sunshine outside on the top of the deck. With the option to get wine and cocktails flowing, I felt in my element as I wandered around taking pictures of everything - I just knew that this was something that I would have to blog about.

Top deck - look at that carpet!

As amazing as the outside was, I was way more interested what was on offer inside. I was literally in love with how the whole thing had been put together. It just looked fabulous. One of the several bars on the ship was the Lashitude bar, where you could enjoy food and drinks in a luxurious Black and Orange setting, themed around Benefit's 'They're Real' mascara. Everything was just so opulent and plush - it was easy to forget that we were on a boat on the Thames.

The next bar room that we visited was the 'main room' if you like. Decorated with ultimate girly everything - powder pink walls and furnishings with mirrors everywhere, I felt like I'd just landed in Regina George's bedroom. It really did feel like something out of a chick flick. And with the option to buy some nice cold wine and cocktails (all pink of course), it was time to sit down, and enjoy the Good Ship Benefit Booze.

I have to admit, it broke my heart a little bit to leave this part of the boat. I mean, just look at it! Absolutely amazing. Still, I had to, as I hadn't even had chance to treat myself to anything by this point. And if you can't treat yourself, who can you treat, right ladies?

So I moved onto the lovely little on-board shop and salon. There were cupboards full to the brim of Benefit goodies, and there was even a luxury brow bar. Fab or what?!

I invested in a nice new little product I had actually been eyeing up online before we even went to London. It's the liquid spin-off of Benefit's award-winning 'Hoola' bronzer - which is actually the best-selling bronzer in the UK. When it comes to bronzing, I am an addict, as you all know. So, if a product promises a gorgeous golden glow, then I simply have to try it. The lady who served me also gave me a free Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream, and a little 'G' stencil to put on my laptop or diary, which I thought was really sweet.

'Dew the Hoola' has not let me down - it's absolutely amazing, and it's so versatile. I will be posting a full review shortly, but for now, I will end this post by saying that it's just fabulous!

I absolutely loved my time on the Good Ship Benefit, and would strongly recommend it to all you ladies if you are in or around London at any point. The boat is open to the public for the next 5 months, so make sure that you check it out!
