THE BRIDAL SHOW AT TATTON PARK.

Apologies for the lack of posts over the last few days - I had an incredibly busy weekend and I've been feeling under the weather, too, so I do hope I'm excused!

The good news is that I'm feeling a lot better and my busy weekend was also an incredibly fun and exciting weekend. In fact, this weekend was so amazing that I want to share it with you all...

And that's because, on saturday, I attended my first ever wedding fayre! The Bridal Show, which was held at Tatton park over the weekend, is a nationally famous wedding fayre event that attracts brides-to-be from far and wide.

So, did it live up to my expectations? Gosh yes - and so much more.

Marc and I have tons of venue viewings and everything else booked in over the course of the next few months, however, for the The Bridal Show, I decided to invite my best friend, Sherry, along to join in the fun - and we had the best time ever!

Upon arrival with our VIP tickets, we were presented with a gorgeous flute of bubbly and handed a brochure with everything that we needed to know tucked away inside - which stands were where, where the fashion show was taking place and tons of other bits and bobs. The staff were all welcoming and couldn't wait to congratulate me about my new fiance status, which was really sweet.

That, was of course, just the start of it, though. As we made our way through the main entrance, surrounded by white Bentley's and Rolls Royce's, we suddenly entered a world dedicated entirely to weddings - and it was simply magical. From stunning bridal gowns, to intricately-designed cakes and gorgeous stately home venues, The Bridal Show housed everything you could ever dream of all under one roof, offering an endless supply of big day inspiration to all of the brides in attendance.

One thing that really struck both me and Sherry about the wedding fayre was that there were so many stands for things that I hadn't even thought about or considered at all. For example, one of the stalls was dedicated purely to the various types of wedding confetti that the bride and groom can choose from - pinks, purples, paper, plastic - you name it, they had it.

However, I think I can speak for most other brides when I say that the most exciting things to plan are of course the dress, the venue and the cake. And, needless to say, The Bridal Show hosted only the best of the best in all three regards.

It was the fashion show that really made our day, though. Just sitting down with a flute of gorgeous bubbly and watching as the catwalk models showcased the array of stunning dresses was just indescribably exciting - and the men's catwalk was just as great!

At the start of the show, the music was slow, which helped me to envisage how each dress would look when walking down the aisle, and towards the end, the music was really upbeat and both the male and female catwalk models were dancing all over the place and having a laugh - which, incidentally, is exactly how I picture my evening reception!

Both Sherry and I had a fantastic day. The Bridal Show at Tatton Park has most certainly wet my appetite for more wedding planning and I can't wait to get my venue booked. So, make sure you watch this space and stay tuned for more blog posts with all of my wedding updates. I'll be sharing everything except for my dress, so keep your eyes peeled!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and I can't wait to share more wedding-related stuff with you all very soon.

Lots of love,
Grace x
