Don't get me wrong, I love it when girls experiment with madly-coloured glitters and vibrant neons, because it's just so out there and wacky. With that said, it just isn't very 'me'.
For this reason, I turn mostly to pretty pinks and muted nudes. I prefer to rock a more simple, understated look, and these colours come in a whole variety of different shades, but never look too 'in your face', so to speak.
Anybody that knows me well knows that my lipstick collection is brimming with every shade and hue of pink under the sun, and after this bank holiday weekend, my pretty family of pinks grew by one.
That's right - another new lippie. And guess what girls? It's another must-have to add to your collection.
MAC's sensational 'HOT GOSSIP' from the Cremesheen range is a vibrant (but not OTT) shade of pink that's just perfect for this time of year. It's the ideal product to glam up any makeup look and it can be worn during the day or in the evening.
Like all of the MAC lipsticks, depending on the liner that you team with it, HOT GOSSIP is a colour that you can really play around with - toning down or vamping up as you please.
Yesterday, I teamed it with my trusty Whirl liner, but today, I've switched things up and decided to wear my 'Bourneo' liner from NARS, which has helped in creating a really fresh but warm look. I love the warm shade that Bourneo has to it - it's a little like 'Spice' from MAC, but slightly richer.
Moving forward, I'd like to start mixing my lipsticks a little more to create ombre effects and cutomised shades, so watch this space for more hot lipstick gossip (see what I did there?) coming your way very soon.
