D&G NO3 L'IMPERATRICE - THE FRAGRANCE CLASSIC I ALWAYS GO BACK TO.

With so many incredible designers and gorgeous smelling fragrances out there, it can be really difficult to make that final decision when buying a new perfume. In fact, from past experience, it can take ages.

Perfume is one of those things that I simply can't get enough of. Even if I already had 20 bottles sat in my wardrobe, I'd never be disappointed to receive another. The thing is, perfume gives me confidence, and with the right fragrance, I feel as though I can take on the world.

In general, I'd describe my favourite fragrances are usually very 'fresh' smelling - I love citrus smells, bergamot and anything fruity. With that said, I also like really classic scents with undertones of musk and vanilla.

And for me, there are five perfumes that top all the rest:
  • 'Si' by Giorgio Armani
  • 'Couture Couture' by Juicy Couture
  • 'Grapefruit Cologne' by Jo Malone
  • 'CK Summer' by Calvin Klein (the one in the orange/yellow bottle - not sure which year this one was released)
  • 'No3/L'Imperatrice' by Dolce & Gabbana
In my opinion, these five scents are just gorgeous, and I'd happily buy each and every one of them over and over again.

And as it happens, just the other day, that's exactly what I did.

After dousing myself in D&G No3 L'Imperatrice in Tenerife South airport, it suddenly occurred to me that it had been way too long since I last bought this little beauty. So, as soon as we arrived home, I got online and promptly re-invested (I would have bought it at the airport but Marc and I spent the last of our euros on a giant bag of M&M's, as you do.)

This classic perfume comes in a gorgeous, slick, clear, rectangular bottle with a black lid and a simplistic and classy white label. Scent-wise, it's fresh but sexy, with a base of sandlewood, musk and grapefruit, and undertones of rhubard, red currant, kiwi and watermelon. I know, could it physically sound any more amazing?

When first released, No3 was a top-seller for Dolce & Gabbana, but, with tons of other amazing fragrances now available, it's almost taken a back-foot. For this reason, this perfume is now a little more difficult to get hold of, but can also be purchased at a really great price.

I bought my bottle online for just £34 for a 100ml bottle, which should last me quite a while (providing that I resist the urge to bathe in it, of course.)

What are your favourite perfumes? Do you have one for every occasion? I'd love to hear what your best-loved scents are, so make sure you drop a comment in the box below.

Happy spritzing!

Lots of love,
Grace x
