When it comes to beauty and looking good, I have absolutely no issue with forking out to buy the good stuff - if that means blowing £30 or more on a face wash, then so be it.
The way I see it is that looking good does often come at a cost. I'm the first to admit that I'm a total sucker for premium brand beauty, and the amount that I've spent on the likes of Kiehl's, Clarins and Bobbi Brown over the years is no doubt somewhat terrifying.
But, beauty is a huge part of my life - in fact, it's probably one of my biggest ever passions - and so, it kind of goes without saying that I've grown to love expensive brands. After all, they are pretty fabulous, right?
With all of that said, however, I don't believe in paying solely for the brand itself. If I knew 100% that a high street product costing £5 would give me the same results as that of a £40 premium brand, I would, naturally, opt for the cheaper option. Otherwise, I would just be plain silly/slightly pretentious.
My passion for beauty has, over the years, provided me with some valuable knowledge in this regard, and I am fairly clued-up on what works for me, what doesn't, which products are worth the splurge, and which ones aren't. And let me tell you, it's a great piece of knowledge to have, especially if you want to love good without having to remortgage and sell your car.
Usually, when people ask me which products I use, they expect to hear solely the expensive ones, but I'm very open about the high-street products I use. I love bargain buys, and there are some absolute crackers out there when it comes to beauty.
This brings me onto one thing I'm sure you'd all love to know - my cheapest beauty must-have.
Some of the cheapest beauty products in my bathroom cupboard cost little more than £5, but the cheapest of all can be picked up for less than £3 - and it's one that I use every single day without fail.
And here it is in all it's glory - the Garnier Micellar Wash.
I've been using this face wash for months and months and months - and I absolutely love it. With this product, a little goes a heck of a long way, and the handy little pump-action dispenser promises a mess-free application.
I use this face wash every morning and every evening to remove any dirt, makeup traces or grease from my skin, leaving it squeaky clean and looking great. The Garnier Micellar collection was originally designed to remove makeup, but I find that this product doubles up as a great wash to use in the morning before applying makeup, too.
In the evening, I use my Garnier Micellar Water to remove the 'bulk' of my makeup, before moving onto the wash to get rid of all the remaining traces. I often follow this up with my usual high-end face wash (Kiehl's Ultra Facial), to leave my skin spotlessly smooth and enviably bright.
I recommend this budget buy to everybody who asks about the products I love. So, if you're on the lookout for a skin-rescuing saviour that won't cost you the earth, this is your answer!
I hope you enjoyed this post, lovelies!
Speak to you all very soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
The micellar water is one of my faves but I've never tried it as a wash! I'll have to give this a go! X
