Interior and home shopping is fast becoming my favourite thing ever. I always knew that I'd be overwhelmed with excitement when Marc and I bought our own house, but honestly, I physically can't explain just how much I love buying things for our house.
Even the little essentials like pots and pans and cutlery have got me unbelievably excited, although it has to be said that shopping for furniture, cushions, bedding and all the bigger things is just something else.
One of the many great things about being in a relationship with Marc is that he pretty much gives me a free reign when it comes to shopping for our house. I think he trusts that I have good taste and when I show him my ideas, he's always on board with everything, so it's all nice and easy. I'd hate if Marc wanted to do everything black and red like a real lads pad. Fortunately, he likes my style, and so we'll have a very lovely couple/family home.
Our official move-in date is just a few days away, and already, we are so prepared. Our sofas have been ordered and they will be ready for delivery on the 22nd August, we've got tons of accessories and bedding and things like that, and most recently, yesterday in fact, we took a trip to Arighi Bianci and ordered even more fabulous things!
As you'll have probably seen already from my previous blog post all about our home, the style of our house is a real eclectic mix of old and new. The house was actually built in the 1800's, and so there are lots of character features such as oak floorboards and traditional oak door-frames, but it's been renovated, too, so it's got a lovely modern touch as well.
Anyway, based on the style and feel of the house, Marc and I have decided to stick to the 'oak' vibe in the living room. We've ordered a beautiful sideboard, TV cabinet and lamp table from the Dorset range at Arighi Bianci, and I just can't wait for them to arrive.
Arighi Bianci is a beautiful home furnishings store based in the centre of Macclesfield, and the stuff they sell is just beautiful - honestly, I could have bought everything!
One range in particular that just blew me away was the incredible Matthew Williamson collection. I mean, just look at this...
Incredible or what?
I can't wait to get back to Arighi Bianci in the next few weeks to buy even more beautiful things for our home. In the meantime, if you'd like to visit their website for some ideas and inspiration, you can do so now by clicking here.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Please stay tuned for more updates on our house coming very soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
