Lipstick is probably the one makeup product that I 'couldn't live without' so to speak. Obviously, lipstick isn't a human necessity, however, it is a Grace necessity and so I had to go without it, I wouldn't be a very happy bunny.
MAC lipsticks have been my addiction for so long now - I rarely walk away from Selfridges without a new one, but you know, everyone has there vices, right?
Anyway, like I say, I like a regular change-up to keep my makeup looking fresh and to keep things interesting, but there are a few classics that I will always go back to.
Nudes, soft pinks and mauves are my biggest lipstick weaknesses when it comes to colours, and there are just a handful of MAC shades that I'll adore timelessly. So, let's talk about them.
First up, we have the very first nude lipstick I ever fell in love with - Blankety.
MAC Blankety
This soft, stunning nude has a lovely, semi-gloss finish that helps make the makeup love gorgeous, fresh and dewy, and with undertones of bluey-pinks, it's such a complimentary colour. My favourite liner to pop with this is MAC Whirl, but I've heard Stripdown looks great with it too. When I'm stuck for a nude to wear and I just can't decide, I almost always settle on Blankety, because it's a pure fail-safe option that looks great day or night.
MAC Angel
MAC Angel is actually my most recent lipstick investment, but I'm already so in love with it. Angel falls under the 'Frost' finish collection, which means it's got this gorgeous, glisteny texture to it which looks absolutely beautiful - and the colour is equally stunning. I would describe the shade as a really versatile, soft pink that can be teamed with nude, brown and pink liners. At the moment I'm wearing this lipstick a lot with Boldly Bare and Whirl.
MAC Faux
I'm actually ashamed to say that I totally forgot exactly how much I love this lipstick until last weekend. I was sorting through all my lipsticks and cleaning them up a bit, and I decided to just pop it on because I hadn't worn it for ages - and oh my god, how did I forget?! This lipstick is so beautiful. It's the most perfect dusky pink/mauve colour ever and it's just such a natural shade. I always find that my lips look really plump when I wear this colour, which is amazing.
MAC Viva Glam V
What I love about this lipstick is that it's got a really unique texture. There's a little hint of gold running through it that just looks so beautiful when applied to the lips. I love my lips to look full and sexy and this colour is great for achieving exactly that. My favourite liner to team this one with has to be Soar. I like to make my Viva Glam V pinkier as opposed to browner - it just looks so pretty this way.
MAC Shy Girl
Whenever my niece comes over, she always insists on wearing this colour - she's only 7, but already she has amazing taste. This colour is much different from the above shades as it's got orangey, peachy tones in there which the others don't. I love wearing this colour in summer and in the autumn months. Team it with Spice or Boldy Bare and the job's a good'un.
So there you have it, my fave favourite MAC lipsticks right now (in no particular order).
