When it comes to Christmas and birthdays, I really like to go all out when I buy presents for my family and Marc, and so I do tend to spend quite a lot of money. The likes of Selfridges and Harvey Nichols pull me in like a kid drawn to a candy store, but every once in a while, I think it's nice to spend a little bit more money and invest in something that'll last longer, and remain timelessly chic.
This month, both my Mum and my Dad celebrate their birthdays, and I think I've done really well with both of their presents. I'll tell you more about my Dad's 60th a little closer to the time, but for now, I'd love to tell you all about what I bought my mum for her birthday!
Like me, my mum loves her designer brands and she's got such a great eye for timeless, classic items and so I always put a lot of thought into my mum's presents. She loves a bit of sparkle but she likes everything to be very classy and sophisticated. So, after much thought and consideration, I decided to buy her a Monica Vinader bracelet.
I've been following Monica Vinader on Instagram for ages and I'm forever drooling over the gorgeous jewellery she sells. So, whilst I can't justify treating myself to anything like this at the moment, I can certainly justify buying my mum something!
It took me ages to make my choice as all the items are just so beautiful and unique, but in the end I went for the Silver Linear Friendship Bracelet. This gorgeous bracelet is just so classy and chic and it's one of those pieces that will just never date, which I love.

Not only is the bracelet beautiful, the packaging is, too |
Now, the engraving process was really stressful for me - not because of the Monica Vinader website - but because I am so indecisive with these things. I just couldn't decide what I wanted engraved into the bracelet, and I honestly spent so much time messaging the girls on the Monica Vinader live chat for help!
The girls were just fantastic, and I finally decided to engrave the inside of the bracelet with 'Love you mum' and a little heart motif. I also had the toggle engraved with another heart motif, too. I made the decision to leave the front of the bracelet bar blank as I didn't want to jump in and have something engraved that my mum would find too cheesy or over the top. My mum isn't a fan of things that are too soppy, especially if she's wearing them, so I've left this blank until she's decided what she would like to go there.

The engraving is so delicate and beautiful |
Although I have to say, even with nothing on it, the bracelet is just gorgeous.
This particular bracelet cost £105, which I actually think is really reasonable, especially given the prestigious name tag. Of course, there are more expensive pieces available (and cheaper ones, too), but I genuinely really liked the style of this bracelet, and I knew it was something my mum would choose herself.
The Monica Vinader Linear Silver Bracelet comes in a variety of other colours, meaning you can really customise the piece to suit your own personal taste. I really loved the rainbow straps and mink straps, too, but silver never dates, and just looks so pretty and shiny.
Needless to say, my mum absolutely adores her bracelet, which makes me really happy. Her and my Dad have done so much for Marc and I over the last two years, and I'm just so happy that I could give her such a beautiful, sentimental gift before we move into our own place.
I hope you enjoyed this post. If you'd like to see more from Monica Vinader, you can head over to the official Monica Vinader website now by clicking here.
Lots of love,
Grace x
