AUTUMN: COSY NIGHT IN ESSENTIALS.

As most of you will already know from my previous post, autumn is one of my favourite times of the year. I love the cosiness of autumn and all the beautiful, natural reds, browns and oranges that circulate at this time. Although autumn is the time in which the cold weather begins to creep back, I always think of autumn as a warm time of year - cosy nights in front of the fire, fluffy dressing gowns, big woolly scarves and coats...it's all about being snuggly.

And again, as you all know, I love all of that. Nothing appeals to me more than sticking my onesie on and sitting in front of the fire with Marc and Max, watching a movie and eating chocolate. To me, that whole description is just bliss, and I plan on spending as many autumn evenings as possible just like that.

I don't know about you (this could just be me being really weird), but the thought of autumn alone and doing all these cute, cosy things just makes me feel so warm and excited inside. So, for this post, I've decided to make a cosy night in check-list for you to use this autumn. I really hope you enjoy it!

So, first things first...

Cute Pyjamas

Okay, so cute pyjamas are an absolute must at this time of year, and you can never have too many different sets. I always love the pyjamas in Jack Wills and Boux Avenue - Primark have a good selection usually, too, but I can never be bothered with how busy that place gets! Anyway, this autumn, make sure you stock up on pyjamas - tartan ones, spotty ones, long ones, short ones - everything! Like I say, you can never have too many sets.

Tasty hot drink selection

When I think back to the days when I didn't drink coffee, I honestly shudder. Who even was I? I absolutely love a coffee these days - especially a latte - so I always have plenty of stock in my kitchen cupboards. I love the Kenco Barista Edition Latte's - they're so yummy! I'm also a huge fan of Cadbury's Hot Chocolate (especially with marshmallows and cream.)

Snacks

I'm all about being healthy and not eating junk, but for those cosy nights in, sometimes, you've just got to have a bit of a treat, and for me, nothing is better than chocolate. My favourite chocolate would have to be either M&M's, Crispy M&M's or Giant Chocolate Buttons. Thinking about all that chocolate is actually making my mouth water as I write this.

A Good Movie or Series

Marc and I love films and we're also partial to a good series, too. At the moment, we're hooked on Stranger Things and Dr Foster (how good are these shows?!) I don't actually know what we will do with our free time when we run out of episodes! Film wise, we both love a good thriller - Gone Girl still creeps me out and I've seen it at least 5 times.

Your Pet

Whether you're a dog lover or a cat lover, get your pet involved! My dog Max loves joining in with stuff like this, even if he is just curled up in a ball on the rug, or lounging with his legs in the air on the sofa. I just love him, so he has to partake in all autumnal cosy activities.

A Face Mask

Very occasionally, Marc lets me put a face mask on him, usually if he's been on a night out or he's feeling particularly tired - face masks are great, though! If you can get your other half to agree to doing it with you, I guarantee he will secretly love it.

So, there you have it - all of my cosy night in essentials! There are probably more - in fact, I could probably go on forever with this, but I have to draw a line somewhere!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, and I can't wait to sharing more with you soon. Here's to autumn!

Lots of love,
Grace
