It might not sound like rocket science, but knowing what to do with face scrub and how often to use it is quite a difficult thing to master. Over the years I've overdone it and not done it enough, but now, after plenty research and a lot of trying and testing products, I'm confident in saying I've finally found the happy middle, and I officially know how best to exfoliate my face - yay!
The thing is, exfoliating is great - when you get it right, that is. Let's have it right, we've all had our fair share of disasters in the skincare department over the years, and scrubbing our skin red-raw (eek) is up there with the worst of it. But now, thanks to this blog post, you can finally wave goodbye to all the question marks you have hanging over the scary topic of facial exfoliation.
Right, so you guys know just how much I love the MAC Volcanic Ash facial scrub, but I recently jumped ship to a more purse-friendly alternative. The Good Things Manuka Honey Refining Scrub is an absolute steal at less than £10 for a big tube, and it's easily premium brand quality.
What I really love about this scrub is the creaminess of it. This scrub deeply cleanses the pores leaving them clear and refined, but at the same time, it's very gentle and nourishing, too. In the past, I've found that facial scrubs can feel really abrasive, but the cream texture of this one is lovely. I like my skin to feel smooth and clear, but I hate that some products leave the skin feeling sore. Thanks to Good Things, red skin need no longer be a worry.
Another great thing about this scrub is the smell! I love products that contact manuka honey because they smell gorgeous, and the list of skin-saving properties found in manuka honey is endless. Winner!
The packaging for this scrub is great, too. I love that it's so bright and eye-catching. For me, this is a real selling point and it stands out. I'd say I'm definitely drawn to interesting and pretty packaging, especially when buying skincare or cosmetic products as gifts.
I absolutely adore everything about this scrub, and I can't wait to try more Good Things skin products in the future!
I really hope you enjoyed this post, and I look forward to sharing more with you soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
