SCHWARZKOPF PRO STYLING HEAT PROTECTION SPRAY: YOUR NEXT HAIR-CARE BUY.

Just like skincare, hair care is an incredibly important part of my daily routine. I like my hair to look and feel fabulous at all times, but heated appliances such as hair dryers and curling wands can interfere with our 'hair zen.'

When I first met Marc, I was so obsessed with looking 'perfect' every day, I would literally wash, blow-dry and curl my hair every morning (I know - crazy). Now, I'm slightly less mental, but I do still blow dry my hair every day, which is enough to cause problems.

With heated appliances and regular trips to the salon becoming ever more popular in today's culture, how to take care of our hair has become a bigger 'thing', too. The question is, what works and what doesn't?

Okay so in general, I would say that any heat protection is better than none, so as long as you aren't using anything that's out of date, you're probably doing more good than harm. However, as with anything else, some products are better than others.

I've used tons of heat protection lotions and potions in the past, but the one I'm loving at the moment is the Schwarzkopf Pro Styling Heat Protection Spray.

How I ended up trying this product was actually a bit of an accident. I'd asked Marc to pick me up some gel spray (I hate aerosol hair sprays), and he came back with this. And okay, I didn't get the gel spray I wanted, but I'm not one to turn down the opportunity to try something new, so I held onto it and decided to give it a go.

And I'm really, really impressed.

When it comes to heat protection, more often than not, I opt for serums, but this spray really is great.

In the past, I've found heat protection sprays to be a little greasy, and leave my hair more 'chip pan' than 'fresh and bouncy', so I must admit, I did have my reservations. However, this spray is both lightweight and non-greasy.

It also works amazingly well, too.

After applying 5-6 sprays to the length of my hair, my hair feels smooth, soft and nourished...and completely grease-free!

I'm trying not to over-heat my hair at the moment, and so I'm refraining from curling my hair as much as humanly possible, but having used this spray when blow drying and being really impressed, I feel confident that my hair would be well protected if I were to apply extra heat.
