NYX Cosmetics has really come into its own in the last few years, and has become particularly popular on social media - especially Instagram. NYX create an extensive range of products, and as the prices are so great, you can get tons for your money!
Last week, I bought three fabulous new products from NYX, so I thought I would share each of them with you and give you my verdict so far.
In no particular order...
- NYX Born To Glow Illuminating Primer
- NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in Shade 'Soft Spoken'
- NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray
I have never ever used a high street brand primer before, so the 'Born To Glow' primer from NYX was a first for me. Originally, I'd set out with the intention to buy the 'Strobe Cream' from MAC, which I'd been using in sample form for about 3/4 weeks. However, I decided to give Born To Glow a chance to shine instead. And you know what? I am really, really impressed.
NYX Born To Glow Illuminating Primer
I wore 'Born To Glow' for the first time on Thursday, and I honestly couldn't believe how fresh and glowy my skin looked. When applying, I mixed a pea-sized blob of product with half a pump of my favourite liquid bronzer, NARS Laguna, to create a shimmering, bronzed base. The NYX 'Born To Glow' created a gorgeous base for my makeup, smoothing over my skin to leave my complexion looking and feeling totally flawless. Marc even commented on how lovely my skin looked and let's face it, those are big words for any man to come out with! I'm loving this product, and it only cost me £12.50.
NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in Shade 'Soft Spoken'
As most of you will probably already know, I am a teeny weeny little bit of a snob when it comes to lip products. In short, I really do love my expensive lipsticks. The likes of MAC, NARS & Charlotte Tilbury are my go-to's for all things lips - including lip liners. But, when I swatched the NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in 'Soft Spoken' last week, I simply had to invest. I usually find that cheaper lip liners don't have great staying power, but after doing the 'rub test' (swatching the liner and then rubbing to see if the colour disappears or stays), I was very impressed indeed. Did the lip liner budge? Nope, not even a teeny bit.
I absolutely love this shade as well. 'Soft Spoken' is pretty much the most amazing dupe of MAC 'Whirl' ever. It's almost identical, and at just £4 it's a fraction of the cost! I've been wearing this liner with my beautiful MAC Creme Cup lipstick and it looks fabulous. I'm so happy with this purchase!
NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray
There are two NYX setting sprays available to buy - one matte, and one dewy. For me, dewy skin wins hands down every time, so there was just no confusion when it came to selecting the right product for me. I love nothing more than a fresh, radiant and glowy complexion, and this setting spray from NYX really does deliver the goods. I hold the spray approximately 10-15cm from my face and spritz away. The result? Gorgeous, youthful, flawless skin. What more could you want? - And at just £7, it's an absolute steal!
It may be early days, but I am genuinely so happy with my mini NYX haul! I will definitely be repurchasing these products, and I've already got my mum on board with all three goodies!
For me, this brand delivers premium quality goods at high street prices, so if you like professional results, but are put off by the hefty price tag, get yourself down to NYX. I promise you won't be disappointed!
I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post and I can't wait to share more with you soon!
Have a lovely Easter weekend!
Lots of love,
Grace x
