And what better way to unwind than with a luxury spa break?!
Be it a fully-fledged spa weekend away with multiple treatments and countless flutes of prosecco or a relaxing spa day spent making the most of the spa facilities for a few hours, the switch-off time is bound to do you some good.
I like to indulge in spa weekends as often as I can (my parents, Marc and I try to squeeze one in every 3 months or so) - but no amount of pampering will ever be enough for me. I would more than happily sit in a jacuzzi until I look like a prune every single weekend if I could.
What can I say? I believe in the importance of self-love - and so should you! So, if it’s been a while since you put yourself first or all the little things have been getting on top of you for a while, then now’s the time to get on Spabreaks.com and get booking.
To help inspire you, for this blog post, I thought I’d share a roundup of the best spas in North West England. Carefully hand-picked by yours truly, these luxury spa resorts are ready and waiting to welcome you to immerse yourself in a world where peace, relaxation and pure serenity come as standard. As for the spa treatments, you're truly spoilt for choice. Prepare to peruse a menu of luxury beauty treatments ranging from facials and massages to full body mud masks, and get set to make self care your number one priority.

2. The Mere Golf Resort & Spa

It’s no secret that The Mere is one of my favourite spa hotels Cheshire - I just love it! My parents, Marc and I have been visiting regularly for many years now & we still love it just as much as we did on that very visit back in 2015.
If I were to list every single thing I adore about this beautiful health club, I would honestly be here all day, but I couldn't not mention the location. As well as offering a spectrum of premium spa treatments, The Mere Knutsford also boasts the most spectacular location. A backdrop of lakeside mansions, perfectly manicured golf course and luscious greenery lend a sense of magnificence before you've even had the chance to sample the award-winning health facilities.
And from the moment you step inside, somehow, it just gets better and better!
The Mere Resort boasts a 20 metre heated pool, jacuzzi, six luxury treatment rooms (including an aroma steam room, Hammam and Caldarium), outdoor garden studio, open-air relaxation terraces and a spa lounge and bar, where you can refresh yourself with a spectrum of freshly-prepared beverages and bites.

Another spa resort-come-golf club, Mottram Hall is a must-visit for any serenity-seeker. As beautiful inside as it is on the outside (the building itself and surrounding grounds are totally stunning), this lavish location is perfect for those that enjoy the finer things in life. Think luxury afternoon teas, warm, bubbling outdoor jacuzzis and plush, padded sun loungers perfect for soaking up the sun on those warm summer days. Whatever it is that you're craving, this is, without question, one of the best luxury spa breaks Manchester has to offer.

4. Ribby Hall
Give into temptation and treat yourself to the blissful break you deserve by taking a trip to Preston’s prestigious Ribby Hall.
A serene retreat complete with a plethora of luxurious outdoor spa facilities and indoor spa facilities alike, it’s no wonder why Ribby Hall is such a popular place to be. For me, the jewel in the crown is the thermal space. A stunning glass constructt overlooking the sensational spa garden, from here you can soak up vistas of the outdoor hot tub, sauna and plush open-air seating area - the perfect place to perch and sip a flute of ice-cold fizz.
For those seeking out the best affordable spas, Ribby Hall certainly won't disappoint. Oh, and for those that enjoy a touch of celeb spotting, this spa hotel has been known to attract a wealth of famous faces - including The Real Housewives of Cheshire's Dawn and Ashley Ward.

6. Stanley House Hotel & Spa
Situated in the heart of Lancashire, Stanley House Hotel & Spa has a 4.5 star rating on Booking.com - and for good reason. This rural spa hotel North West is utterly breathtaking.
The perfect combination of old and new, on the outside, Stanley House is a proud, period stone property with luscious green surround. And on the inside, a wealth of lavish interiors awaits. Nestled comfortably in rural Nantwich, Rookery Hall Hotel and Spa - which forms part of the Hand Picked Hotels group - is an Elizabethan-style mansion housing a luxury restaurant, Cheshire health club and spa.
Boasting a grand structure that dates back to 1814, Rookery Hall has been drastically updated over the years, but thankfully, still maintains all of its original charm.

11. The Spa at Carden Park
I was lucky enough to be invited down for a spa day here, and my oh my was I blown away. One glimpse at this place and I was already madly in love – it's nestled right in heart of the vast, verdant Cheshire countryside and as soon as we drove into its grounds, I felt my shoulders instantly drop and my tensions melt away. Yep, this is all before we even ventured into the spa itself!
Of course, when we did head inside, we were all the more in awe of the place. As someone who has visited a number of beautiful spa resorts in my time, I'm usually quite good at highlighting the odd or two things I'd change, or that could be improved in some way, but Carden Park spa really is faultless. From its chic spiral staircase in the entryway to the mesmerising living wall, wonderful staff and let's not forget, the pristine facilities, this luxury Cheshire spa is nothing short of perfection.
And as well as being utterly beautiful in every sense of the word, this UK spa resort also has the added bonus of an incredible outdoor area - the best I've ever seen, in fact. On chillier days, the fabulous fire pits promise to keep you toasty amid the cooler temperatures, meanwhile the choice of outdoor pools and jacuzzis make for the feeling of a luxury holiday destination. There's also a gorgeous bar area at its centre and a selection of plush wooden pods dotted all around, enabling guests to enjoy a private moment of quiet whilst they sip on their creamy coffees and flutes of fizz.
In terms of the indoor facilities, once again, this luxury UK spa has it all, and best of all, you get an uninterrupted view of the glorious outdoor space as you unwind. Simply plunge into the depths of the sparkling pool before hopping out and reclining on a heated lounger to soak up the sights - bliss!
Whether it’s a special occasion or not, let’s face it, a spa break is always a good idea. So, if you’re in need of a bit of ‘me time’, then you know what to do.
I hope this blog post has left you feeling inspired & I hope that you all enjoy booking your next spa getaway!
Until next time, lovelies!
Lots of love,
Grace x
