HOW TO DRINK MORE WATER WITHOUT IT FEELING LIKE A CHORE: 6 TIPS FOR DRINKING MORE WATER.

Drinking lots of water is without question the beauty world’s worst kept secret. Everybody and his dog knows that one of the most effective ways to improve skin texture, appearance and elasticity is to drink more water.

But sipping on 8 glasses of H20 each day is easier said than done.

In general, I like to think I’ve got the whole drinking 3 litres of water a day pretty down at this point. But like everybody else, I still have good and bad days.

So, how do you drink more water without it feeling like a chore?

I thought I’d step in and help. So, for this blog post, I’ve pulled together my top tips for drinking more water. I hope you all enjoy!

Ways To Drink More Water Without It Feeling Like A Chore

  1. Invest in a pretty drinking bottle

One of the things I’ve found to be most effective when trying to drink more water is this - drinking out of a nice bottle. If you’re anything like me, you’ll love the feeling of drinking out of something pretty. I have to drink Prosecco out of a flute, or it just doesn’t feel the same, just like I have to drink a latte out of a proper latte glass. And I find it’s much the same with water - only, with water, it’s better to use a bottle rather than a glass as they hold more (and they’re also safer if you’re sat to a laptop!) I love the Chilly’s bottles as there are tons of beautiful designs available to choose from and the cool, innovative design means that your water stays super cold and fresh at all times.

  2. Get into the habit of refilling your bottle straight away

I find that the more I drink, the more I want to drink, and so when I refill my water bottle as soon as it becomes empty, it almost becomes second nature to me to continue doing this throughout the day.

  3. Try cold infusion tea bags

If you really don’t like the fact that water is flavourless and you’re used to drinking things that are sweeter or tastier, cold infusion tea bags can come in really useful. Designed to delicately flavour water without loading it up with sugar, cold infusions are available in lots of different flavours, allowing you to make your water more interesting and easier to drink.

  4. Use a small amount of cordial or fresh fruit juice

I don’t have any trouble drinking lots of water, but sometimes, I need something a little bit zestier to satisfy me. In which case, I reach for either fresh fruit juice or cordial and dilute it. I absolutely love fresh orange juice but it’s so sugary which makes it really bad for my teeth. So, instead of drinking it as it is, I’ll water it down, breaking it up into maybe one part orange juice to 3 parts water. It’s so refreshing, particularly during the warmer months when served with ice.

  5. Pay close attention to your skin

If you’re really lacking motivation but you love rocking a naturally radiant complexion, then my advice would be to start looking more closely at your skin. As soon as you start to drink more water, you will begin to notice a huge difference in the way your skin looks and feels. I can always tell when I’ve not drank enough versus when I’ve drank plenty when I look in the mirror, and this always motivates me to fill up my bottle for the day ahead.

  6. Enlist a water drinking buddy

Myself and the girl I used to sit with at work used to really encourage one another to drink more water, and if I knew she’d drank more than me or vice versa, we would always try to catch up with one another. It sounds silly but having a friend, family member or colleague close to hand (or even on text!) that’s also trying to drink more water really helps. It’s a little bit like having a work-out buddy & it’s very motivational.

I really hope you all enjoyed this post & I can’t wait to share more with you all very soon.

Lots of love,

Grace x
