THE BEST DESIGNER HANDBAGS TO BUY THIS AW18.

I remember the feeling of getting my first, very own designer handbag like it was yesterday. It was the first Christmas Marc and I spent together as a couple - Christmas 2015 - and he bought me the most beautiful Michael Kors handbag. And even though I knew I was getting it (as I picked it myself), when I finally opened it on Christmas day, I was just so excited I can't even begin to explain.

I think the feeling of owning something so luxurious and expensive was just so exciting to me. At the time, Michael Kors was just beginning to become 'popular' as far as designers go, and while everybody seemed to be wanting an MK handbag at that time, I wanted one that I hadn't seen anybody else with, so I went for something a little different. And believe it or not, I've still never seen anyone with exactly the same bag that I have.

Quite often, when certain designers or styles become popular, you begin to see other people with the exact same thing that you've got and I don't know about you, but I hate the feeling of having something that everybody else has. Sometimes, it's unavoidable, and as someone who literally loves the likes or Zara and Mango, I'm quite used to bumping into other women wearing things that I own - but with designer gear, I think it's nice to feel that by spending that extra bit more, you're investing in something unique and that you won't often see others using.

After all, it's good to have your own signature style and while many of us like to stay in touch with the latest trends by reading blogs and magazines, it's great to own statement, investment pieces that really jazz up our outfits and give our looks the 'wow factor.' And if you ask me, nothing brings a great outfit to like quite like a gorgeous handbag.

So, with this in mind, I thought it was about time I shared a fresh new fashion post with you all abouuuuttttt, yep, you guessed it...handbags!

With all things AW18 officially taking over the high street, I felt now was the perfect time to talk about all the gorgeous and fabulous designer bags available right now. From new season Coach to the late Kate Spade's most recent collection and the never-ending luxury of Louis Vuitton, this post is dedicated to all things bags.

So, without further ado, let's get to it!

1. Coach Charlie Carryall With Rivets in Oxblood & Brass

As soon as I saw this bag on the Official Coach Website, I instantly fell in love with it. Oxblood is, without question, my favouritE Autumn/Winter shade and I love the way Coach have added brass detailing to this bag - it contrasts beautifully with the deep, all-over colour of the leather.

This bag is one of those that's just completely timeless. As with all Coach goods, the quality is completely second to none and the classic style makes this piece one that retains its value forever.

I would happily use this bag again year after year and I think it's absolutely perfect for adding a warm, sumptuous pop of colour to all outfits on those crisp, chilly Autumn days. Just gorgeous.

2. Kate Spade White Rock Road Luxe Sam

When I first heard the news about Kate Spade passing earlier this year, I was just absolutely devastated. I've admired Kate's work for so many years and her stunning handbags continue to mesmerize me season after season.

If I were to describe Kate Spade handbags in just one word, it would have to be 'classy.' Her styles are just so chic and sophisticated and I just love how the bags look and feel. Everything about the Kate Spade brand is elegant and luxurious and her new Autumn/Winter range us everything I expected it to be and more.

With eye-catching snakeskin styles to ravishing reds and beautiful berry shades, Kate has this season in the bag. Pun intended.

Stella McCartney's fabulous new range of handbags is, well, completely stellar.

Each and every one of Stella's AW18 styles is utterly breathtaking. Blending the sumptuousness of high quality leather with the beauty of stunning colours, textures and details, Stella McCartney's endless selection of beautiful bags is simply sensational. But for me, the Flo Small Shoulder Bag is just extra special.

What I love about this bag in particular is the centre statement panel. In a luxe snakeskin style, this central tan-coloured panel contrasts with the black sections to either side, meanwhile the all-over finish is in a sort of semi gloss that I just adore.

At this point, you'll probably realise that there's a little bit of a trend going on here...

Yep, snakeskin is definitely the 'in thing' this Autumn/Winter season, and I have to say, I am completely on-board with it.

While I am entirely against the use of genuine snakeskin, I love the style of snakeskin and bags made to look as though they are made from snakeskin always end up catching my eye. I think I just find snakeskin so unique and beautiful and I think it's great that we can take so much inspiration from animals and the beauty of our world and use this inspiration to create amazing clothes and accessories.

To reinforce what I have just said, I would like to clarify that the use of real snakeskin is something I do NOT agree with. However, if a bag is made from an alternative material and just made to look this way, like this Michael Kors bag I am about to show you, then I am more than happy to invest. On top of this, I'd like to add that I am also against the use of fur. For me, faux is most definitely the way forward!

Anyway, this bag from Michael Kors simply had to make an appearance in this blog post. It's absolutely gorgeous and the perfect accessory to jazz up a whole range of looks this AW18. I love the simple square shape of this bag and I love how the snakeskin style makes this piece so eye-catching. In my opinion, accessories, shoes and handbags pose the ideal opportunity to inject colour, vibrancy and bold prints into outfits - and this bag is perfect for that.

5. Small Antigona Bag In Grained Leather

Givenchy is one of those brands that literally makes me go weak at the knees. In fact, when I walk through Selfridges and pass by the Givenchy bag collection, I'm pretty sure I transform momentarily into the love heart eyes emoji. I mean, come on, what woman doesn't want a Givenchy handbag?

The epitome of all things luxurious, Givenchy's AW18 collection is just everything, basically. Maintaining the classic Givenchy style that we all love so much, Givenchy's latest range prizes beautiful navy blues, beautiful berry shades, sleek jet blacks and of course, nudes.

Oh yes, we all love a bit of nude, don't we? And I have to say, the Small Antigona Bag In Grained Leather from Givenchy is most definitely the best nude handbag I've seen for a very long time.

A bag that I can already picture sat in Kylie Jenner's - highly enviable - bag closet, this luxurious leather must-have is giving me all the feels. Marc, please can I have one? I've been very good this year!

So there you have it, the BEST designer handbags to buy this Autumn/Winter season.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post & I can't wait to share more with you soon.

Lots of love,
Grace x
