WHY I LOVE THE GARNIER SKIN ACTIVE NATURALS RANGE.

Premium brand beauty is something I really do love. I love the feeling of luxury brand beauty products - the packaging, the range of beautiful formulas...there are many reasons why I have a soft spot for these brands. Let's face it, it's nice to have a little luxury in our lives, and whether that comes in the form of a gorgeous bag (be sure to check out my 'The Best Designer Handbags To Buy This AW18' post for more bagspiration!) or an expensive bottle of perfume, there's just something really sumptuous about premium brand goods.

But, with this said, it's important to weigh up the pros and cons of paying extra. After all, sometimes, it turns out that we've actually just fallen terrible victim to the 'paying for the name' thing - something that's happened to us all at some point or another. And this is one of the many reasons I love being a blogger. Blogging allows me to really decipher whether or not it really is worth spending that little bit extra, or on the other hand, if we can get that same great quality and spend a little (or a lot!) less.

Now, you guys know just how much I adore my expensive skincare goodies - luxury skincare is one of my biggest cosmetic weaknesses. However, sometimes, I think it's good to try other things and then that way, I can share with you lovely lot my verdict. And that's exactly what I'm going to do in this blog post.

So, I recently decided to have a little switch up with my skincare routine and try something new for a change. I've been using Clarins for ages now (and loving their products!) but after seeing the Garnier SkinActive Naturals range on offer in Boots, I decided to invest - I mean, who am I to turn down three products for the price of two? We all love a special offer, don't we?!

Taking advantage of the great deal on these already very reasonably priced products, I decided to buy two of the Green Tea Leaves toners and one of the Green Tea gel face washes. There were other products in the range that looked nice, but I find I tend to use up my toners and face washes more quickly than I do anything else, so this seemed like the right decision to make.

And I have to say, as the days go on, I am becoming increasingly happy with my decision to invest in this range. Sometimes, making spur of the moment purchases turns out to be a mistake, but in this case, quite the opposite. I am absolutely thrilled with the Garnier SkinActive Naturals products, and having been so impressed with them, I am definitely intent on buying more.

I think in total, the three products cost me something crazy like £7 - maybe even less. I'm used to spending £25 or more on just one product, so I really do feel like I've bagged a proper bargain, and with results this great, I only have wonderful things to say about this range.

The Garnier SkinActive Naturals range features a selection of products tailored to suit various skin types and concerns & each and every item promises 96% natural ingredients - winner.

I opted for the products designed for combination/oily skin as I was intrigued by the predominant green tea ingredient, and while, like most women, my skin type isn't completely fixed, I would probably describe it as either 'normal' or 'combination.' If you are unsure as to what skin type you are, check out this article from Good Housekeeping: 'How To Determine Your Skin Type.'

And while these products don't create a huge stinging effect when applied to the skin, I really do find them effective. I have to say, I do like products that tingle as, like many others, I associate this sensation with the fact the product is 'doing something.' However, while the Garnier SkinActive range feels gentle on the skin, the effectiveness of the products is very clear to see.

After using the gel face wash - which feels amazing when applied, I have to say - my skin always feels so clean and fresh and my pores look/feel really refined, too. I'm so picky with what I use on my skin - especially when it comes to skincare - and as someone who is used to using products with a much higher price point, I thought the difference in quality would be apparent, but in actual fact, I genuinely have nothing negative to say about this wash. It's got a very light, natural scent - which is always reassuring as heavily perfumed products can be extremely harsh and abrasive - and the gel forumla foams up really nicely when massaged into the skin. To complete the process, I blend the wash with warm water and work into my skin in circular motions before rinsing away with cold water to close my pores.

And to give my skin that extra toned, youthful and fresh feel/look, the Garnier SkinActive toner makes for the perfect follow-up product. As I said earlier, I like to use a lot of toner which is why I usually get through my toners so quickly, but while I tend to apply more rather than less, with this product, there really is absolutely no need to douse your skin with the toner.

I've been trying my best to be a little more frugal with my skincare products, and while I do find it difficult to use less, I am honestly so impressed with how much of a long way this toner goes - even when using the tiniest amount of liquid.

The fragrance of the toner mirrors that of the wash, which I assume is the same for the rest of the products in the Garnier SkinActive range. There is definitely a scent to the toner, just like the wash, but again, this is soft and inoffensive and it's clear that there isn't too much perfume in there. In my opinion, there's nothing worse than really bad quality, heavily perfumed skincare products. Perfumes are really harsh on the skin which is why they dry everything out so much. So, as a top tip, I would always advise having a quick read of the ingredients on the back of any products that you buy.

To finish this post off I would just like to tie everything together by reinforcing just how impressed I have been with the Garnier SkinActive range. I've been using the Garnier Micellar range for quite a long time now, just to remove my makeup, but I never really thought to try anything else from Garnier until I saw these goodies on special offer. Now, I am itching to try more Garnier products and I'll definitely be repurchasing from the gorgeous SkinActive collection. It's just fab!

I really hope you enjoyed this blog post & I look forward to sharing more with you all soon.

I'm hoping to get another post on here tomorrow, but if you can't wait that long, be sure to check out my the rest of my beauty posts. There are tons of makeup, skin and body care blog posts just waiting for you to read them.

Until next time, lovelies!

Lots of love,
Grace x
