A LITTLE WEDDING UPDATE.

For those who know me well, it's absolutely no secret that wedding planning has almost completely taken over my life ever since I got engaged back in December. Since then, my fingers have constantly been tapping away on Pinterest and the number of telephone calls, emails and everything else exchanged between wedding venues has been pretty exhaustive - but in the best possible way, of course.

Yep, I think it's safe to say that wedding planning has more than lived up to my expectations - it's exceeded them in every single possible way. I'm quite happy to admit that previously to getting engaged, I was a complete wedding novice. I never actually realised exactly how much planning and preparation goes into these things, but now, I totally get it.

For most women in this world, their wedding day is, without a doubt, one of the best and most important days of their lives. And again, for most (including me), the image of how a woman's wedding day will look and feel is pinacle in her mind from a young age.

I'm a lover of all things girly and glitzy, so I've always had this uber-glam wedding vision in my head - lots of sparkle and glamour - something really eye-catching and memorable. For me, there's always been that image of a gorgeous, green, countryside scene, too. So, in that sense, I've always had a decent idea of the type of venue that I would end up going for.

And, well, now...it's all booked.

Yep, you read that right, the wedding is officially booked.

I can't quite believe it either - and writing that our has perhaps just triggered that realisation in my own head. My wedding is booked, we have a date, the deposit is paid and it's very officially happening.

I'd love to share with you some more information about everything and give you all a deeper insight into the big day, but for now, both Marc and I have mutually agreed to keep things hush. We don't want to announce anything on social media before our save the date's have gone out to our guests, as we want them to get the news before anybody else.

All I will say is that the venue is beyond perfect and better than anything I could have ever imagined - even in my own adventurous little mind!

 Before booking and 'sealing the deal' so to speak, we viewed several other venues that just didn't quite 'feel right', as lovely as they were. With each venue there was just one or two things that put me off. Like every other girl, I want my big day to be perfect, and now I have found the one, I'm confident that it will be.

In the next few weeks, I will be arranging our save the date's and getting those out to our guests. After that, I will be sharing with you all where Marc and I will be tying the knot!
