I know I'm always wittering on about the importance of a great skincare regime, but I really am a firm believer in the importance of good quality skincare products. Of course, it goes without saying that there are some incredible budget beauty buys on the market, but in general, I think that it's really important to explore the various premium brand products out there and invest in a few staples to keep your skin looking its best.
And believe you me, I haven't half done my research over the years.
From Clarins and Clinique to Origins and Liz Earle, my knowledge of skincare is pretty extensive. I've discovered some absolute skincare saviours in my time, and I've also discovered a hell of a lot about my own skin and what works for me as an individual. However, I firmly believe that one of my most important discoveries has been Kiehl's.
Literally, for me, this skincare brand just knocks the socks off everything else out there. It's incredible, and the range of products available is so extensive, it's almost impossible to go into the store without buying at least three things. Lately, I've been trying not to go overboard, but this weekend, I thought 'to hell with it - I'm treating myself', so, that's what I did!
Every so often, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and sometimes, you've just got to buy yourself a few new bits and pieces to keep the excitement in that bathroom cupboard going strong. So, on Saturday, I decided to buy myself a few new skincare products from my beloved Kiehl's.
In no particular order, a new bottle of the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser, the Kiehl's Ultra facial toner and also a few little samples too, including Avocado Eye Cream and the Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence.

Yep, this weekend I went Kiehl's mad, and I swear I've been in a better mood ever since!
The reason for making these purchases is quite simple. So, the Midnight Recovery Concentrate is one of my ultimate Kiehl's faves and I'm getting ready for the inevitable nightmare 'I've ran out!' issue, which is edging closer by the day. In terms of the Ultra Facial goodies, well, I am a daily user of the amazing Ultra Facial Cream, and as I love it so much, I decided that I simply had to buy this duo to add to my collection. After all, if it works, why not buy the full range, right?
The samples are great from Kiehl's, too. At the moment, I actually don't have any eye cream at all, but on Saturday I simply couldn't decide which I wanted, so the lady helping me said that she would give me a couple to try, including the Avocado one, and a little sachet of the Midnight Recovery Eye.
I haven't tried the Midnight Recovery Eye yet, but the Avocado Eye Cream is just insane! I love the pale green colour because it literally is, just like an avocado. And better yet, the texture is lovely and creamy like an avocado, too. Honestly, this stuff is just so nourishing and soothing, and I would have to say that even after just two days, my eyes are definitely looking brighter. Because of work and being sat at a PC or laptop a lot, I can often feel my eyes getting tired and I do worry about the physical impact that this has on me, so it's really great to know that this product works so well in terms of plumping my eyes up and brightening them. I'll definitely be buying a full sized bottle when I next go shopping!
This week, I am going to try and individually review each of my new buys and let you know how I am getting on with them in a little more detail, so make sure you stay tuned for that. And in the meantime, if you haven't already, get yourself down to your nearest Kiehl's retailer - I promise you won't regret it.
I hope you enjoyed this little update and that you're all having a fabulous April so far!
Lots of love,
Grace x
I've never tried any Kiehls skincare before but everything you got sounds amazing and I'll have to try it! X
