What I love about Clarins is that there's something to suit every different skin type. Whether you've got oily, acne prone skin or dry, sensitive skin, you're guaranteed to find a selection of products that compliment your complexion and leave your skin looking and feeling its best. Clarins doesn't discriminate against skin types, and the formulas are expertly created to work with your skin and compliment your complexion. Clarins caters to everyone, and whilst some of the products may appear quite costly at face value in comparison to some cheaper alternatives, as someone who has tried tons of their products, I can say with absolute confidence that this brand is well worth the splurge. Clarins products last for ages and you only need the tiniest amount to make a huge difference to your skin.
If I were to categorise my skin type, I would probably lean towards the 'combination' side of things. Those with combination skin are neither especially dry or especially oily. Instead, they're a mixture of the two - hence the term 'combination'. In general, I tend not to experience any major issues with my skin, but in order to ensure it stays healthy and fresh looking, I like to use a selection of products from Clarins.
And right now, to my delight, I've got a huge collection of Clarins goodies stowed away in my wash bag - it's just dreamy! From my trusty Cottonseed Cleanser to my ultimate skincare holy grail, the amazing Clarins Lotus Oil, my house is officially beginning to resemble an official Clarins counter - and I'm more than okay with that. In fact, I embrace it. I love my Clarins products, and the most recent additions to my collection are particularly special indeed...
So, for those that don't already know, I am thrilled to announce that this is my first official collaboration with Clarins! As I'm writing this, I'm still in complete disbelief. Clarins is a brand that I've dreamt of working with for such a long time, and now that it's finally happening, I genuinely do feel so lucky! This is pretty much a dream come true for me, but just to make things absolutely clear, even though the products featured in this post were gifted to me, my review of each and every item will remain entirely honest and truthful. As always, I only ever recommend products I would genuinely buy myself, and this is something that will never change.
Now that's cleared up, I can officially introduce you to the newest members of my Clarins family, which admittedly, is growing at a rather rapid rate...
Before trying the Clarins SOS Hydra Face Mask, I'd been looking to try a new face mask for a while, so this little baby arrived to my rescue at just the right time. And truthfully, it really has rescued my skin! For such a long time, I've been making the mistake of stripping my skin when I use face masks. Thick clay products and drying masks have left my skin feeling dehydrated in the past, but the Clarins SOS Hydra Face Mask is completely different. Rather than drying the skin, it moisturises it, giving an instant burst of life and leaving it looking super fresh and radiant. The texture of this mask is almost like a mosituriser - it's creamy and soft which I really like, and it smells super fresh, too.
To apply, I smooth the mask onto my freshly washed face and leave it for 10 minutes to work its magic. During this time, I can feel a little bit of a tingle (but not too much) as the gel cream formula penetrates deeply into my skin, moisturising and reviving the surface of my skin to reveal a complexion that's fresh, smooth and toned.
Fortified with skin-loving ingredient, Leaf of Life, the Clarins SOS Hydra Mask hydrates the skin to leave it looking and feeling better than ever before, and it really does stick to its word. After using it, the texture of my skin is noticeably more refined, and my complexion looks naturally youthful and glowing. This product is easy to apply, it smells great and it most certainly delivers the results! Would I recommend it? 100% - it's incredible.
As someone who considers themself to be somewhat of a skincare and beauty guru, I am a little embarrassed to admit that I don't apply eye cream every day. Well, I didn't anyway. As soon as the gorgeous Clarins Multi-Active Eye arrived through my postbox, I vowed to never go a day without eye cream again.
Skincare experts swear by eye cream. It's believed that we should each start using a good quality eye cream in our early 20's - preferably no later than 21. So, at 26, I've potentially missed out on 5 years of anti-ageing goodness! Scary stuff! But the good news is, I'm officially changing my ways, and having been so impressed with the gorgeous Clarins Multi-Active Eye, I would happily repurchase this product.
The gorgeous pink packaging is so up my street (I love anything pink!) and the shiny chrome applicatior adds a touch of luxury. Of course, it's not just the way this product looks that makes it so great - it works like a dream, too! I've been applying a small amount of product, morning and night to my under eye and my eye lids for about 10 days now, and while it is still quite early on, I'm almost entirely confident that my eyes are looking brighter already. The texture of this product is almost like a gel, and if you look closely, you can see that there's a bit of a pearlescent glow to it, which is really lovely. Once applied to the eyes, it takes just a matter of seconds for the product to absorb into the skin and begin to work its magic.
I'm quite fortunate in that I don't suffer from any extreme puffiness or dark circles, but staring a screen all day can leave my eyes looking a little tired, and I'd say the Clarins Multi-Active Eye has definitely helped improve things.
This product in particular is one that really intrigued and excited me when it landed on my doorstep. I've never come across a product like this before - and with the amount of liners and pens I've tried, this really is saying something - but honestly, the Clarins Four Colour Pen really is like nothing else I've ever tried before. And it's amazing.
The idea of the Clarins Four Colour Pen is that all your essential liners, both eyes and lips, are held together in one handy pen. At a first glance, it actually looks like one of those cool biros you'd use at school that had three of four different nibs, and while the concept is pretty much the same, this is obviously way better. Why? Because it's makeup, of course!
The Clarins Four Colour Pen is available in three great colour combinations. My pen is the 03 version, which features a funky aqua green eye liner shade (I can't wait to use this in Santorini!), a classic black liner, a grey liner and then a gorgeous pink lip liner (my personal favourite). The liners are strong so you don't need to worry about them snapping easily, yet the texture is super smooth and creamy, making them really easy to apply. For those of you that grimace at the thought of poorly pigmented liners (me included), you'll be pleased to hear that these liners are highly pigmented and the colours are very strong. The Clarins Four Colour Pen has already become my latest everyday essential - it's always in my handbag!
