A LITTLE WEDDING UPDATE.

As most of you will probably already know, my fiance Marc and I are getting married next year and I couldn't possibly be any more excited to be his bride. Like most women, I've daydreamed about my wedding day my whole entire life, and now I'm finally getting the opportunity to bring all those ideas to life, it just feels like a fairy tale.

Marc and I got engaged in Vegas on Tuesday 13th December 2016 sat overlooking the iconic Bellagio Fountains. I took him to Las Vegas for his 30th as a surprise, and then he surprised me with a proposal at Todd English's Olives Restaurant, The Bellagio. It was the most amazing moment of my entire life, and something that I'll remember forever. Staying at The Bellagio and being able to celebrate not only Marc's 30th, but our engagement, too, was just incredible - and I want our wedding day to be exactly the same - full of love, happiness and a day in which we'll make tons of lifelong memories.

And so far, everything is going to plan. While we aren't tying the knot until 2019, I am already very much prepared for the big day, and all the big things are already sorted. We've got the venue, we've chosen our colour scheme, I've chosen the dress (eek!) and I've got the most amazing wedding car ever. There really isn't a lot left to do at all!

I guess some people find it a little crazy that I've sorted everything out so far in advance, but as soon as Marc popped that ring on my finger, I just couldn't wait to start planning everything. I know that everybody takes marriage and the amount of time they're engaged or not engaged at their own pace, but for me, we were in a position where we could book the venue we wanted pretty much straight away, and then everything after that just seemed to naturally fall into place. I'm not saying that our way of doing it is the 'right' way of doing it, but it's working for us, and I'm loving the build up to our big day.

For this blog post, I thought I'd share a list of the things that we've already booked/arranged for the wedding, and then another list of the remaining 'to do's' that we've still got to tackle. I'm hoping my list will be able to help other brides who may have forgotten something or haven't considered a particular aspect to their wedding yet. I'm also hoping that if there's anything missing from my list, one of you lovely lot will be able to prompt me not to forget!

There probably are a few things that I've missed off these lists, but I think that's pretty much it. As you can see, most of the big jobs and decisions have already been sorted, but there are still a few bits and bobs to sort out.

Now that I've pulled together this list, I can feel that immediate 'newly engaged' rush of excitement coming back to me. I think because we've planned everything so far in advance and we've sorted so many things out, I've kind of, until now, assumed that there isn't a lot left to do, but the fact that we've still got ring shopping to do, and I've still got to officially ask my bridesmaids and maid of honour to be a part of our day is really exciting.

Another thing that I'd almost completely forgotten about was the wedding playlist and first dance song. In all honesty, I still have absolutely no idea what our first dance song will be, but in my head, I think I'm leaning towards something that's a little more fun than a total tear jerker. Naturally, I know that some people are going to cry, but I just want our wedding to day to be as happy and joyful as possible. I want everybody to be laughing, joking, dancing and having a great time.

Are you engaged? If so, how far ahead with your wedding planning are you? And have I missed anything from my lists?! I'd love to hear from all you beautiful blushing brides - past, present and future! - so make sure you drop a little comment in the comments box below, and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.

Until next time, lovelies!

Lots of love,
Grace x
