HOW TO MAKE YOUR HOME COSY WITH YANKEE CANDLE.

There's nothing quite like a beautiful, cosy home - and I think at this time of year in particular, that feeling of having a safe, homely sanctuary to return to on those dark evenings is so comforting.

You guys know just how much I love autumn and winter. I love all the snuggly nights in on the sofa with hot drinks and good magazines, and the whole feel of this time of year, to me, is just magical. But one of the things that I think really does make such a huge difference is how our home looks and feels.

I've always had a passion for interior design and home decor. In fact, when I was younger, I wanted to be an interior designer. I just love how creative we can be with our homes and how the addition of such small and even simple accessories can make such a huge difference. And, if you ask me, one of the easiest ways to transform your sanctuary from a house to a home is with gorgeous candles.

I've been obsessed with Yankee Candle for absolutely years now, but it wasn't until Marc and I bought our own home that I really appreciated exactly how much of a difference candles make to the look and feel of a place. When guests enter our home, whether they're friends or family, they always comment on how beautiful our house smells - and we owe that entirely to Yankee Candle!

My go-to Yankee Candle is the Home Inspiration Blueberry Cheesecake one - it's just so sweet and the intense (but not overbearing!) and the scent really does envelop the room, diffusing any less desirable odours (lingering food smells etc.)

However, recently, after being given the opportunity to work with Yankee Candle on my blog - something that, I must say, I am so excited about! - I've been trying a few different scents, and I'm loving them all!

The candles that are currently flavouring my home - each kindly gifted to me by the fabulous PR team at Yankee Candle - are Tropical Jungle, Warm Desert Wind, Coconut Splash and Misty Mountains. And they're all gorgeous!

Generally speaking, I tend to be more drawn to sweeter scents, with berry flavours in particular being a major weakness of mine. Like I said earlier, the Blueberry Cheesecake candle is my default go-to, and as I've repurchased it so many times now, it's become somewhat of a signature home scent. So, in that respect, in some ways, I was a little apprehensive about my home smelling differently than it does usually.

I probably wouldn't even lift the lid of scents like Misty Mountains and Warm Desert Wind if I were in the Yankee Candle store with my mum, but actually, now I've tried them, I've fallen completely in love.

Warm Desert Wind was, when I first opened the package Yankee Candle sent to me, the one candle I assumed I would like the least. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this scent really is absolutely beautiful. And while it's nothing like the fruity fragrances I'd usually opt for, I'm genuinely really enjoying having such different scents in our home.

The great thing about Yankee Candle is that they really do have the most incredible and extensive range of fragrances ever. So, no matter what your taste is or what type of scents you lean towards, you're pretty much 100% guaranteed to find something that you love. There are so many colours, fragrances, sizes - everything! You can even bring your favourite Yankee Candle into your car with the amazing collection of car air fresheners.

Yep, the possibilities really are endless - and thanks to the fact that the candles are of such a high quality, they truly stand the test of time, too.

In the past, I've given other brands of candles the chance to impress me, but so far - and I really have done my research on this - I'm yet to discover anything that even comes close to what Yankee Candle do.

I've gotten so many of my friends and family members into Yankee Candle and now that I've got the opportunity to really showcase all the fabulous products they create, I honestly couldn't be happier.

The range that I'm currently trialling in my home is just absolutely stunning and what's really wonderful about these fragrances is the summery quality they have to them. I know this sounds a little silly considering I'm constantly professing my love for autumn, but it's true - and it's really nice.

While the scents help create a beautiful, homely atmosphere, they're also fresh & clean smelling, too, which is really refreshing & lovely.
