There is one thing about my love affair with autumn that's missing from this list, though.
Can you guess what it is?
Yep, you got it - autumn fashion!
While some women love nothing more than wearing their summer dresses and a pair of wedges, I feel happiest when I can wrap up warm and and indulge in all things autumn style.
Autumn fashion is all about layering up, deep, sultry shades, biker jackets, boots, leopard and of course, faux fur.
And I just can't get enough of it.
For some reason, I just find it so much easier to dress in autumn. And, not to generalise too much, but I feel as though most people would back me up on this. I mean, dressing 'appropriately' during the summer months can sometimes prove particularly difficult, and thinking of work outfits when it's hot is especially tricky. However, in autumn, how to dress just seems to come naturally to me.
And I have to say, I generally prefer the look of autumn clothes in general. I'm a sucker for all things faux fur and I love walking around in my boots, thick leggings and oversized woolly jumpers. It's great!
And as always, this year's autumn fashion arrivals are just as fabulous as ever before.
So, in this blog post, I'm going to share with you the autumn trends I'm loving the most, as well as an inside look at some of my most recent style purchases.
I hope you enjoy!
1. A Faux Fur Gilet
Faux fur gilets are one of my favourite fashion staples pretty much ever - and right now, they're all the rage! The great thing about gilets is that they promise to keep your body cosy and warm, but they can be worn indoors as well as outdoors and still look great.
I love layering my faux fur gilets with different blouses, ribbed long-sleeve t-shirts and high-neck tops. To complete the look, pull on a pair of thick leggings and your favourite pair of boots. Finally, stow your essentials (lipstick, purse, hairbrush etc) into a gorgeous, brightly coloured handbag and get ready to take on the town!

2. Animal Print Everything
Yep, animal print is back and this season, it's not all about the leopard stuff. Well, it kind of is - naturally, leopard print is huge this season. But, snakeskin is another one to really look out for this autumn. And at the moment, there are tons of different animal printed garments and accessories available, each guaranteed to jazz up your wardrobe.
I'm loving all the gorgeous animal print blouses at the moment and there are a great selection of snakeskin bags and boots that I'm loving, too. To really bring your animal print ensemble to life, complete your look but smoothing on a layer of red lipstick. I recommend MAC Lady Danger. It's amazing.
3. Big Woolly Jumpers
You just can't go wrong with a big, woolly jumper at this time of year, and there are tons of gorgeous options to choose from right now. So, whether you like chunky cable knits or fuzzy-style jumpers, you're bound to find something you love this season.
I recently purchased three high-neck woolly jumpers - all the same but in different colours. I bought one black, one cream and one really bright pink. I used to find that I was always drawn to neutral shades but more recently, I've been introducing a little more vibrancy to my wardrobe, and I'm really liking it! Colour is such a wonderful thing, and when it's so dark outside, it's nice to know that your clothes are standing out.
4. A Biker Jacket
Let's face it, biker jackets never really 'go out' of style, but during the autumn and winter months in particular, this style staple is one that we're all encouraged to wear.
What I'm loving about the biker jacket trend this season is that there are so many different variations of it. As well as having the standard black, faux leather biker, we're also being introduced to a range of tan and berry coloured suede numbers, too.
I lost my favourite biker jacket on a night out not long ago, so I'm currently on the hunt for a new one to replace it. At the moment, this eye-catching yellow biker jacket from Lucy Cobb is definitely winning my seal of approval.
5. A Checked Scarf
I've always dreamed of owning a Burberry scarf, but at £300 (plus the rest!) I just can't justify making such an indulgent purchase. After all, Marc and I have tons of other things to pay for right now - including our wedding!
Fortunately, there are tons of amazing alternatives to this pricey accessory and you can now pick up a scarf that looks just like a Burberry one for a fraction of the price.
I'm absolutely in love with this check tassel grey scarf from Lucy Cobb. Lucy Cobb is one of my favourite shops, it's right on the doorstep and the clothes are just gorgeous. It's a must-visit if you're ever in Uppermill!
I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post & I can't wait to share more beauty, style & life gossip with you all very soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
