I absolutely adore tree decorating day every single year, but this year in particular was just so much fun. I think because I'd been building it up for so long this time around and because I was so poorly over Christmas last year, I just wanted this time around to be super special - and it was!
For me, the Christmas tree isn't something that I just throw up in as little time as possible. Instead, I like to relax whilst I'm doing it, pop some festive music on and fully make the most of the moment. I carefully think about where each and every bauble will go & I also consider my colour scheme many weeks in advance...
Last year, I decided we'd have a tree that was all ivory & cream with sprinklings of glitter, but this time around, I was determined to inject a little colour.
I think that right now, I'm just really enjoying all the gorgeous berry shades and deep plum tones that are surfacing in all the home furniture and accessories stores and I wanted our tree to warm up our living room. So, I decided to add to our - already fairly huge - collection of baubles and add a burst of berry and pink into the mix.
Both last year & this year alike, I purchased most of our baubles and decorations from Clas Ohlson, which is just such a fantastic store. It's like an enormous hub of everything you could possibly need in everyday life and for the home. From light bulbs and water bottles to kettles and Christmas decorations, Clas Ohlson is literally bursting with life essentials & accessories - and they always do the most fabulous decorations at this time of year.
All of the Christmas decorations, accessories & wrapping up materials are included in an enormous '3 for 2' promotion at the moment, so I was able to buy a 6m tube of wrapping paper, a pack of three wrapping paper ribbons, some sticky gift tags, three sets of berry coloured baubles, three sets of mini pink baubles and a packet of skinny pink tinsel for little over £15!
Yep, £15.
And everything is of the most amazing quality. In fact, already my Mum & Dad are planning a trip to Clas Ohlson to stock up on decorations, too! Neither of them could believe just how much I got for the money I paid.
And I have to say, I'm equally impressed.
Our tree looks absolutely stunning and I'm so happy with the way everything has turned out, so I simply had to share this with you all! Take it from me, if you're on the hunt for new Christmas decorations, Clas Ohlson is 100% the place you need to be!
I hope you all enjoyed this blog post & that I've given you a little festive home inspiration! If you're in need of a little gift inspo, be sure to check out my post '8 Fabulous Stocking Fillers From The White Company'. Alternatively, stay tuned for more blog posts coming your way very soon!
