I was dipping in and out of my makeup bag the other day when I realised exactly how many gorgeous NARS goodies I now own. It’s as though, without even really realising it, NARS has began to take over my entire cosmetics collection. And although I do still invest in other brands, NARS is, without question, my go-to beauty counter when I’m on the hunt for something fabulous & new.
I’m constantly telling my friends and family members about how great NARS is (my mum is obsessed with NARS now, too!) but I realise that I haven’t actually shared a post on here about all the products I own and exactly why I love them so much.
So - and I realise this is my first post in weeks - I thought I’d step back into the blogosphere by writing up a post about all my gorgeous NARS goodies and what I love about them.

As foundations go, the NARS Sheer Glow has become somewhat of a cult classic. It’s lightweight so it doesn’t feel like it’s masking or suffocating the skin, but the coverage is buildable, so, if for whatever reason you feel as though your complexion is in need of a bigger pick-me-up than usual, this little pot of wonderfulness has got you covered.
The NARS Sheer Glow is available in a whole spectrum of gorgeous shades to suit every single skin tone under the sun, but for me, Santa Fe and Punjab are perfect. When I’m more tan, Stromboli is a great match for my skin, too, but I find that by mixing a little bit of my NARS Laguna Bronzer in with my lighter foundations, I can create the perfect shade...
Continuing on from that last little section, I thought I’d jump straight in and talk to you about this gorgeous product.
My mum bought me this as part of a huge NARS haul back in January this year (yep, 12 months ago!) and despite the fact I have used it every single day since she and my dad bought it for me, I’ve still got some left.
This product can be used in a multitude of different ways depending on the look that you want to create/how you personally like to do your makeup, but for me, it looks best when mixed in with my foundation.
I find that by blending a small pump of the NARS Laguna Liquid Bronzer into my foundation (or primer!) my skin just glows amazingly.
During the summer months when I prefer to pair things back a little and don a more natural look, I often skip foundation all together and literally just wear Laguna with my primer. This helps create such a beautiful, bronzed base and the finish is so natural and glowy. I love it!
NARS have a bunch of different blusher shades available to buy, but ‘Orgasm’ is, without question, the most famous.
Another cult classic product from NARS, the NARS Orgasm Blush is adored by women all over the world. The shade is a really gorgeous pinky colour with a subtle metallic sheen and when applied, the finish is simply beautiful.
I don’t know about you, but when I use blusher, I prefer the finish to be more minimal than I do intense - but equally, I like it to be noticeable enough so that I get the gorgeous glow I’m after.
And I have to say, the NARS Orgasm Blush delivers this effect every single time. It’s just stunning.
I actually watched an episode of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills recently & the ladies were getting ready and talking about how much they love this blusher. And let’s face, if it’s good enough for Beverly Hills, it’s good enough for me!
From one wonderful product to another, the next beauty buy I’m going to talk about is the gorgeous NARS Liquid Illuminator.
I’ve just began to run low on this product, so I’ll have to replace mine soon, but seeing as it’s lasted almost 12 months, I most certainly can’t complain!
Like many of the NARS products, the liquid illuminator is an incredibly versatile product that can be used in a variety of different ways. For example, if you prefer liquid highlighters to powder ones, this poses the ideal solution - just dab it on with your fingers or a beauty blender and hey presto!
For me though, this product works best when applied to the skin as a base.
When it comes to priming my skin, I’m always instantly drawn to those that help create a glowing effect. I like to look fresh & Radiant, and I find that the NARS Liquid Illuminator actually makes for a brilliant priming product.
The shade I use is ‘Hot Sand’ which is a lovely bronze colour, but there are many shades available to choose from.
And finally, I couldn’t write this list up without paying homage to my new favourite NARS product and one that I now use every single day - the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser.
If you read my blog a lot, you may have already heard me talking about how I prefer a natural finish to a more sculpted one, and so for a while, I was on the hunt for a more natural base that I’d still feel confident in.
I looked at a selection of famous brands including MAC & Bobbi Brown, but eventually, it was the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser that won my vote.
As with all the NARS products, this little beauty goes a heck of a long way - meaning you don’t need to slather tons on - and although it’s a Tinted Moisturiser rather than a foundation, I find that the finish is really lovely and flawless-looking.
In terms of being matte or dewy, I’d be tempted to say this product sits somewhere in between. It’s not ‘wet-looking’ but obviously it’s been designed to create a fresh & radiant glow, so it isn’t purely mattified or anything like that. The best word I can think of right now to describe the finish would be ‘satin-like.’ If you’ve used Sheer Glow before, then the way this looks isn’t vastly dissimilar - the main difference is that the coverage is lighter and the product obviously looks more natural/lightweight.
So there you have it! My five favourite NARS products. I love this brand but I do know that there are still so many products that I still need to try, so if you have any recommendations, please feel free to drop them into the comments box below.
