Now, as you can all probably imagine, I’ve tried more than my fair share of skin toners - both high street and high end - which means I’ve got a pretty good idea as to which ones are worth the money, and which ones aren’t.
From Clarins and Clinique to La Roche Posay, Garnier & Nivea, the spectrum of brands I have sampled is most definitely extensive. And I have to say, the most recent addition to my list of ‘tried and tested’ has been particularly exciting for me...
Just ahead of the mad Boxing Day rush, I headed online in search of a new toner, and whilst browsing through the pages of Just My Look, I came across a brand I’ve heard lots about from other people, but one that previously, I’d never invested in myself...
Like I say, whilst I hadn’t bought any products from The Ordinary myself, I instantly recognised the name and the uniquely styled packaging. So, I decided to read a little more about the product that had caught my eye (The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution) to try and get a better feel for what it was all about.
The reason which this product in particularly grabbed my attention was because of the word ‘glycolic’. Like the majority of other skincare buffs out there, I know just how amazing glycolic acid is and any product I’ve used in the past containing this ingredient has always really impressed me.
Anyway, a short read & a little research later, I made the decision to add the product to my basket (along with my trusty St Tropez tan). And to my delight, just a couple of days later, my purchase arrived.
I have to say, although the delivery was super quick (Just My Look is so reliable - I’m a huge fan of their service!) I was absolutely itching to open up my bottle of Glycolic Toning Solution & get testing.
So, as soon as I got my hands on it, that’s exactly what I did!
The product arrived in a rectangular-shaped cardboard box packaging (very simply styled) & the bottle itself, true to the images online, was the same - simple, but unique.
And I have to say, I’m a huge fan of the packaging.
If I were to describe the physical look of the product, I’d be tempted to use the word ‘clinical’ - which, I understand, may sound a little strange, but it’s true. With the white label and the simple black writing - not to mention the pointy-style twist dispenser, this product definitely has a very ‘scientific’ fee to it. It looks like something you’d find in a clinic or a laboratory - but I love that!
To me, this look helps build that sense of ‘professional quality’ - and this is something about the product that continued to impress me.
Considering that this item boasts such a low price point, the quality of the solution is superior to that of even the most expensive items I have used in the past.
What I really love about it (well, one of the many things I love about it) is that the results are virtually instant. In fact, scrap the ‘virtually’ part - they literally are instant.
Whilst some products take 7-10 days to take effect, and others advise waiting up to a month for a noticeable difference, this little bottle of amazing-ness gets to work straight away and the results genuinely are immediate. So, if you’re on a mission to attain clear, fresh, radiant and glowing skin as quickly as possible, then this stuff promises to do the job in record time.
I’ve been using The Ordinary Glycolic Toning Solution for about 6 days now and already, I can’t imagine my skincare routine without it.
As instructed (the bottle features advice & instructions on how to use the product), I’ve been applying the toner once every day during the evening before putting my moisturiser on. And the look & feel of my skin has honestly never been better.
I genuinely can’t stop admiring my skin in the mirror & I’m totally blown away by the transformation & improvement in radiance. It’s just astounding.
Now that I’ve tried this product from The Ordinary, I’m so excited to invest in more of their goods. So, if any of you have any recommendations, please do let me know!
