But whilst it’s great to have a range of options available to us, this does of course make shopping for a concealer particularly tricky. We find ourselves asking questions such as ‘what is the best concealer?’ and ‘how to choose concealer?’ It’s confusing! But don’t worry, I’m here to help out…
I’ve been trying and testing makeup since I was about 15, and over those 12 years, I’ve gained a wealth of useful makeup knowledge - including pretty much everything you could ever need to know about concealer.
So, whatever you’re reason for buying a new concealer is - whether it be that you’re current one is running low, or you simply aren’t happy with what you’re using right now - I’ve got a great concealer to share with you all.

That’s right. The concealer that I’m currently using, and a fresh makeup discovery that I just can’t stop raving about, is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (available to buy from Superdrug). And I honestly can’t believe how good it is.
As someone who is used to spending £20 or more on their concealer, purchasing something so, well, cheap, in comparison to what I usually buy was a little alien to me. However, I’ve been using this product for weeks now and I really can’t get enough of it. In fact, I’m on a mission to make all other premium brand purchasers change their ways & give it try for themselves.

January, which, let’s face it, tends to feel like an incredibly long month (particular when waiting for payday to arrive), left me feeling incredibly exhausted and run-down. And as a result, my skin really did suffer. I wasn’t getting enough sleep, on some days, I just didn’t drink enough water and I was feeling a little stressed. So, a little extra help in terms of skincare and makeup was much-needed.
But, like I say, this stuff really did come to my rescue & fix the issue.
I’m a huge advocate for prioritising skincare over makeup, but sometimes, it’s nice to know that there are products we can use to camouflage those tell-tale signs of exhaustion. And this little beauty is just wonderful.
If you’re curious as to where to put concealer, then I would focus attention on the areas that you wish to highlight, as well as those that you wish to cover up. For this reason, I would advise buying this concealer in two different shades - one lighter than your skin tone, and one that’s virtually the same. Use the lighter one to illuminate your under eyes, and the ‘normal’ one to conceal any spots, scars or blemishes. This concealer works great for both of these areas/concerns, which is great, and the coverage is full without looking too heavy.
