HOW TO GET EVERYTHING YOU WANT: 8 TOP TIPS FOR SUCCESS & HAPPINESS.

What does your dream world look like? And if you could have everything you ever wanted, what do you think it would take for you to get to that point? Is it even possible to get to that point?

The answer is yes - it is possible. Anything is possible.

If you’re anything like me, you’re always thinking about what’s next. You’re always brainstorming your next blog post idea or your next business venture. You’re content with your life as it is, and grateful for all of your blessings, but equally, your burning desire for success, fulfillment and excitement means that your mind is constantly regenerating new ideas.

And being this way is both a blessing and a curse, really. On the one hand, absolutely it’s great to be creative and ambitious, but on the other hand, it can be really hard to switch off and take time out.

At this point on my life - I’m now married and have a baby on the way (eek, exciting times!) - I am thinking about the future more and more frequently. I want to wholeheartedly know that both Marc and I are doing everything that we possibly can do in order to ensure that our baby boy has the best start in life that he possibly can.

And all of this has got me thinking about everything I want. Everything my soul is craving. Everything I could make happen if I just put my mind to it.

So, how do you get everything you want?

Well, that’s the million dollar question, isn’t it?

I suppose there is no fool-proof or cheats method to reaching that point of complete happiness and contentment - but a combination of solid hard work and commitment makes for a winning combination every single time.

For this blog post, I thought I’d take you through some of my top tips on how to get everything you want and how to make your dreams come true. Whether you’re daydreaming about a big, beautiful house with a swimming pool and a luxury walk-in closet, or you’re hoping to bag that amazing new job role, with these pointers, you’ll be headed for success in no time. I hope you enjoy!

Quick disclaimer: I am absolutely not suggesting that it’s positive to be materialistic or to always be wanting more, but equally, that is human nature and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being ambitious and hardworking. This blog post has been created with the intent to inspire my readers and to prove that good things come to those who work for it.

You are capable of anything - you just have to put your mind to it

How to get everything you want

1. Be more organised

Studies have found that the most successful people in this world always make their bed in a morning. Don't ask me what the exact science is here, as truthfully, I'm not entirely sure. However, I do believe that there is a huge correlation between organisation and success.

Personally, I can't focus properly or get my head in gear unless the space around me is neat, tidy and organised. Until that space is clear, my thought process isn't clear. And I think this is the same for a lot of people. So, if you've got big dreams and you're looking for a place to start, then this is it.

I also find that listing things and noting down what I need to do or what I want to do/achieve really helps motivate me and push me in the right direction. For this reason, keeping a physical diary and having a few pretty notepads is really important to me.

For those interested, Career Girl Daily London have some beautiful organisers and diaries that are absolutely perfect for those wanting to get more organised. I love this brand!

2. Create a vision board

We each have our own idea as to what success, happiness and contentment look like, which is why creating a vision board is such a productive thing to do. A vision board will act as a physical, visual reminder of exactly what it is you're going after & what you're aiming to achieve. If you have a home office, you may wish to have a selection of different vision boards around the room that will inspire you whilst you're working.

3. Spend less and invest more

Social media channels like Instagram and YouTube are just one of the many reasons why in this day and age, we are always left wanting more. More clothes. More handbags. More shoes. More dinners out. More of everything, really.

But more costs money. And mindless spending is one of the worst things we can possibly do when on our mission to get everything that we want - particularly if what you want requires considerable saving or investment.

So, if you haven't already, then now is the perfect time to spend less and invest more. As tempting as that Zara haul might be (trust me, I feel you), think of how much money you would have if you skipped, say, five of those hauls. That money could then be used to invest in stocks, shares, property...the list goes on.

4. Use your downtime wisely

Downtime is great, and it's something that we all need in order to restore both our bodies and our minds. So, if you really need a day of rest, then do it - take the day of rest.

If, however, you're feeling particularly energised when you aren't working, then use that energy and be as productive as possible. Simple things like writing down your ideas, updating your vision boards, doing online research and watching tutorials are all things that you can be doing that will prove fruitful on your mission to get everything you want. So do it!

5. Spend time with people that inspire you

Nothing will get in the way of getting everything you want quite like the impact of negative people determined to dull your sparkle. In order to be successful and to realise your dreams, it's absolutely imperative that you surround yourself with people that make you believe that anything is possible, and that genuinely want you to do well.

Over the years, I've become so much more selective in terms of who I spend my time with & who I share my ambitions with, because ultimately, people can be incredibly bitter.

When I first started to receive invites to exciting PR events and getting products gifted to me regularly in the post, I vividly remember one individual in particular being very sarcastic about the whole thing - pretty much mocking me in person. This was such an eye opener for me, and a huge slap-in-the-face reminder that not everybody would be happy to see me doing well.

6. Read more

For me, reading regularly is just so important. Whether it's a magazine article, an online blog or a self-help book, I always make the effort to read something that inspires me every single day. And honestly, it makes such a difference to my outlook & just instantly fuels my motivation and hunger for success.

If your goal is to become a property developer, read up on it. If you want to get fit and healthy and to overhaul your lifestyle, read up on it. And, if like me, you want to be the best mum ever, read up on it!

There's an article for everything, trust me.

Reading is great for finding motivation & realising aspirations

7. Be bold

Sometimes in life, you just have to take a risk. Be it a big investment or the decision to relocate to pursue a job offer, being bold & taking the decision to do something that removes you from your comfort zone often massively pays off. Why? Because there are a lot of people that aren't willing to take risks, so this immediately makes you different and sets you apart from everybody else.

A risk that pays off will always leave you feeling braver and more confident. So, next time a big opportunity arises and your natural fear of the unknown sets in, remember that you will gain personal growth & life experience, if nothing else.

8. Believe in yourself

Think of what it is that you really want, and picture yourself with exactly that, or doing exactly that. If you can physically envisage yourself in that setting & doing those things, then this is all the proof you need that you can achieve exactly what you want. Your mind already believes in you - so much so in fact, that it can vividly envisage you living your life in this way.

Self-confidence and self-belief are crucial to success, and at the end of the day, the only person that is ever standing in your way is you. So, next time you find yourself putting things off, or saying 'oh, but it won't happen to me', be sure to bear this in mind.

I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post & that it's left you feeling super motivated.
