NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION REVIEW.

You guys know how much I love the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - I’m obsessed with it! And yet I’ve never actually shared a full NARS Sheer Glow Foundation review. Can you believe that?!

This post is quite clearly long overdue, so whilst Marc is in the driving seat taking us out on a family day out to Formby Beach, I thought I’d make the most of the car journey and type this one up.

As most of you will know, this NARS foundation is somewhat of a beauty cult classic. It’s been used and loved by women all over the world for years and years. And whilst there are lots of other foundations on the market, this one continues to hold its worth.

And for good reason.

Everyone wants to know what is the best foundation, and for me, this is it.

Nars Sheer Glow in 'Fiji'

I’ve tried and tested tons of foundations over the years, but this one trumps them all.

Lightweight and easy to use, this luxury foundation boasts a flattering medium coverage that glides effortlessly onto the skin, perfecting the complexion and providing a healthy-looking glow that lasts.

For me, a medium coverage is perfect, but I understand that a lot of women prefer a real full coverage foundation. The good news is that this foundation is buildable. So if for whatever reason you feel as Though your skin needs that extra little bit of love, just apply a teeny bit more.

In terms of the actual finish of this foundation, I would describe the NARS Sheer Glow as a lovely satin finish foundation. In the past, I’d always opt for a dewy foundation but after discovering this little beauty, I no longer have that tunnel vision when it comes to face makeup. The great thing about a satin finish is that it lasts longer. Even the best dewy foundations tend to slide off the skin as the day goes on - the staying power just isn’t great. This isn’t the case with Sheer Glow, though. The staying power is fab.

I actually wore this foundation on my wedding day - that’s how much I love it. If anybody reading this blog post is currently planning their wedding and in particularly planning to do their own wedding makeup, I would strongly recommend this foundation as it just looks so naturally flawless.

If you’re wondering how many shades are available in NARS Sheer Glow, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are currently 40 different shades to choose from. So whether you’ve got a rich, deep skin tone or you’re super fair skinned, NARS has you covered. There’s also something for warm skin tones, cool skin tones, peachy skin tones, yellow skin tones and everything in between. If you fake tan, it may take you longer to choose the right foundation for your skin tone. You can find out more about this by reading my blog post 'How To Choose The Right Foundation Shade When You Use Fake Tan.'

There’s a lot to love when it comes to this foundation, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll value the packaging and appearance of the products that you use. This is another reason I like this foundation - and all nars products for that matter - so very much. The sleek glass bottle and simplistic black branding help male for a foundation that looks every inch as luxury as when applied to the skin.

And finally - the price. This foundation is a premium brand foundation so it’ll set you back quite a bit more than a L’Oreal foundation or a Rimmel foundation would. That being said, it’s well worth the extra splurge and when compared with other luxury foundations, it’s very reasonably priced. Depending on the retailer you buy from, you can expect to spend an average of £28 On this foundation. And depending on how much product you use, a bottle should last a decent amount of time. I’ve had my current bottle for about 4 months and I’ve still got loads left - which is pretty great considering I use it every single day!

I would recommend this foundation to anyone hoping to enhance their complexion and glow all day everyday.

I really hope you all enjoyed this makeup review and I can’t wait to share more with you soon.

Lots of love,
Grace x
