When it comes to skincare, I'm pretty much every salesman's (or woman's) dream. In short, if you can tell me with absolute conviction that a product is going to change my life, I'm instantly sold. I love skincare products, and that's why I was just so excited to try the Pixi Glow Tonic. I'm not too sure why it took me so long to jump on the bandwagon with this product, but now that I have, I want to give you my complete, honest review of what I think.
Now, like I say, it's been little over 5 days since I bought this product, and so it is pretty early days, but already, I have lots to say about the latest addition to my skincare collection. From the packaging right down to the quality of the results, is the Pixi Glow tonic worthy of its cult classic status in the beauty world? This is my verdict.
Packaging
Firstly, I'd like to talk about the packaging of the product, which I think is really important. Some people find the packaging analysis of products pretty pointless, but for me, great packaging goes a long way, and I have to say, I'm a huge fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic's memorable exterior. As most of you will probably already know, Pixi products are famous for their green logo, and the Pixi Glow Tonic can be spotted a mile off because of this. The beautiful orange hue of the tonic itself really contrasts with the iconic green packaging, and the simply shaped cyllinder is practical yet pretty. I really like the look of this product - it looks great.
Application
Another thing I like about this product is that its so easy to apply, and there's no risk of any mess. My one bug-bare when it comes to toners is when the product is tricky to apply and the style of the bottle makes the product prone to spillages/leaking. Foruntately, the Pixi Glow Tonic features a small hole from which you can tip out as little - or as much - toner as you need. With this product, I find that a little goes quite a long way, and that brings me onto my next area of discussion...
Quality Of Results & Value For Money
I'm quite open and honest in the fact that no expense is spared with my skincare routine. If a product costs £100 but it really is the best product for the job, I'm more than happy to make the splurge. With that said, if a product costs a ton of money and it just doesn't live up to my expectations, I'm always left with a very bitter taste in my mouth.
So, do I think the Pixi Glow Tonic was worth the £18 I spent on it? In a word - yes.
This product has completely lived up to each and every one of the rave reviews I read prior to my purchase, and I'm very happy that I finally chose to try it. What's great about this toner is that it doesn't just shrink the size of your pores, it actually exfoliates your skin, too. The Pixi Glow Tonic contain Glycolic Acid which exfoliates the skin without having to use a harsh or abrasive scrub, and the clever mixture of ingredients means that the skin feels soft and supple as opposed to tight and sore. Winner.
I've been using this product for 5 days now, and I haven't felt the need to exfoliate my skin with my regular face scrub once. I love the feeling of a smooth complexion, which is why I tend to use a face scrub at least twice a week, but since introducing the Pixi Glow Tonic to my routine, this hasn't felt necessary. My skin looks and feels great, and so far, I'm really, really happy with the results.
I bought my Pixi Glow Tonic from Marks & Spencer, but there are plenty of other stores that you can also buy it from.
