THE CHALLENGES OF BLOGGING & MY BLOGGING GOALS.

Over the last few years in particular, blogging has become incredibly popular. It would seem that almost everybody wants a slice of that delicious, blogger success pie, and let’s face it, who can blame them? Blogging is still very much a hobby for a lot of people, but what if it were to be something more?

I’ve been running my blog since I was in university, and whilst it looks much different than it did in the beginning, I’ve always enjoyed having my own little bit of space to talk about the things I’m passionate about. The problem is, with so many people now wanting to blog full time, and with the competition fiercer than ever, it can be difficult to envisage things ever really ‘taking off’.

And who’s to say things ever will take off? I’m under absolutely no impression that my blog is going to become some miraculous, overnight money maker. I actually enjoy blogging, which is why I’ve been doing it for so long, but it would be nice to be able to transform this little hobby into a full blown career. Of course it would!

So what am I doing to get myself to that point? Well, I’ll be honest, recently, I’ve been incredibly busy, and as I write all day every day in my 9-5 job, it can be incredibly difficult to motivate myself to do more once I get home in an evening. However, as the saying goes, nothing worth having ever came easy. So, the first step in my success plan is to stick to my new blogger schedule, and share fresh, exciting new content three times per week.

Another thing that I want to do is to introduce more fashion-related content. I actually love fashion but I find it much more challenging to blog about in terms of capturing great images of the clothes I’m wearing. Moving forward, I’d like to invest in a good quality tripod and behind to take photographs of the outfits I wear and share more fashion posts with you all.

And finally, I want to grow my list of contacts. Last year was an amazing year for me and my blog. I connected with a plethora of incredible brands, and I want to continue making connections with these big names.

I wish I could share blog posts every single day, but blogging is incredibly time consuming, and great content isn’t as simple and just writing reviews and throwing in a few pretty images. There’s a technical skill behind great blogging, too, and I want to continue to apply my knowledge of SEO to my blog.
