Anyway, in this blog post, I’m going to share an exciting, new tanning formula with you.
This tan is one that I’ve only just started using in the last three weeks or so and the brand itself was only recently launched, too. So, for those of you that are looking for a new tan to try or you’ve fallen out with your usual go-to, hopefully, you’ll find this really useful.
The brand that I am going to share with you today is called Tancream.
I was gifted my bottle of Tancream at a PR event I attended for Lisa Edwards Jewellery at Victor’s Restaurant in Hale (you can check out my blog post 'Lisa Edwards Jewellery & A Bloggers Brunch at Victor's Hale.')
Never one to turn down the opportunity to try a new tanning formula, I was super excited to get home & open up my new bottle of bronzing goodness. And while I tend to prefer mousse formulas to creams, there were certain things about this tan in particular that excited me right from the off.
First of all, this tan is revolutionary in the fact that it’s the first ever fake tanning cream to come complete with SPF 50. We are all constantly being reminded of the fact that we should apply SPF every day but still, the vast majority of us continue to go without.
As a regular user of fake tan and someone that genuinely cares about the health & condition of their skin, this really, really appeals to me. In fact, it always frustrates me that my fake tan doesn’t contain SPF, as it means that any last-minute tanning applications in the summer are particularly difficult...
So yeah, this certainly appealed to me.
As well as that, though, the tanning cream is also a CC cream that can be applied not only to the body, but to the face, too.
Anyone that uses fake tan a lot, like myself, will know that as a general rule of thumb, it’s not a good idea to apply your body tan to your face. Body tanners are likely to block the pores on the face and those that have made this mistake previously (me included) have learnt this the hard way.
And take it from me, there’s absolutely nothing pretty about reddish brown pimples. Yuck!

With this product, though, you need never worry about how your skin will react to the tan. Tancream has been specially formulated to nourish the skin and compliment the look & feel of your complexion. So, if you’re tired of having to buy separate tans, then this is pretty much the perfect solution. Bingo!
Of course, these are all things I learnt about the tan just from having a quick read of the packaging - which for the record, is absolutely beautiful. As you’ll be able to see from the photographs I’ve taken, this tan is presented in a really sleek, white cylindrical bottle with a pump-action applicator.
The bottle is then finished off with this gorgeous, velvet-like mattified label. I love it, and I also really love the colour choice here, too. The addition of the gold writing adds a luxe touch that contrasts beautifully with the pink/purple label. Gorgeous!
Delving inside the pretty packaging and returning to the topic of the tanning cream itself, I really do only have amazing things to say about this product.
To help break this up a little & to properly list each and every one of the many amazing pro’s together with a small collection of con’s (and there are only a couple!)
So, here goes…
1. The Consistency
The first thing I’d like to point out about this tan is that the consistency of the cream is just beautiful. It’s lovely & thick and somehow, it’s just really velvety-smooth, too.
In the past, I’ve found tanning creams really frustrating as they can be a little runny (which makes them super difficult to apply!) but with Tancream, there are just no issues whatsoever. In fact, of all the tans I have ever tried, I’d be tempted, I’d say this one has one of the best formulas ever.

FYI: Fake tan mousse and sun cream don’t mix well.

The Pro's Of Tancream
The first thing I’d like to point out about this tan is that the consistency of the cream is just beautiful. It’s lovely & thick and somehow, it’s just really velvety-smooth, too.
In the past, I’ve found tanning creams really frustrating as they can be a little runny (which makes them super difficult to apply!) but with Tancream, there are just no issues whatsoever. In fact, of all the tans I have ever tried, I’d be tempted, I’d say this one has one of the best formulas ever.
2. The Guide Colour
As I’ve been using fake tan for such a long time now, I’ve mastered the art of applying whether there’s an indicator colour or not. However, with that said, having a guide colour does always make things that whole load easier. So, when I discovered Tancream had a gorgeous golden tint to it, I was delighted.
And as guide colours go, again, this is definitely one of the best I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a lot!) As I mentioned before, the colour is just super golden and natural-looking. There’s no unsightly orange or green tint - just a beautiful, blissful bronze tone. Ahhh.
3. The No-Mess Applicator
Though they aren’t especially common in the more, I have used tanning creams in the past that have literally had a plain, simple lid, and I’ve had to scoop the cream out with my fingers - which, as you can probably imagine, can get very messy.
Fortunately, with this product, there is a an amazing, fuss-free pump-action applicator that makes the whole process super simple. Perfect!
Some tanning creams can be incredibly sticky and in the past, I’ve found that in comparison to the likes of sprays and mousses, they take a heck of a lot longer to absorb into the skin - not ideal if you’re in a rush.
I think that my previous, somewhat negative experience of tanning creams and how they stay sticky/wet for such a long time is, ultimately, one of the things that has put me off repurchasing in the future. However, now that I’ve discovered Tancream and all the amazing benefits that it has - including having a super fast-absorbing formula - I would definitely reinvest. In fact, I’m already thinking of getting my mum a bottle for Christmas!
5. It Contains SPF 50
I did touch on this earlier, but as I’m pointing out my favourite things about this product, I thought it best to give it another mention.
Like I said before, the fact that this cream contains SPF 50 is a huge deal. There are literally no other fake tans on the market (that I’m aware of, anyway!) that offer such a high sun protection factor, and I think it’s brilliant that someone has finally tapped into this.
For me personally, this one feature is an enormous selling point in itself, and I’m sure that many other tanaholics would agree.
6. The Colour Stands The Test Of Time
When researching or shopping for a new tan, one of the first things I always look for is reviews regarding the longevity of the tan - because, let’s face it, a fake tan that wears off the next day is a friend to no-one.
If I can get a good three days oust of my tan, then I’m pretty happy with that. By this point, I’m ready for a deep exfoliation anyway, meaning a fresh layer of tan is necessary.

The Con’s Of Tancream
1. It’s Only Available Online Right Now
The only con I can possibly think of right now is the fact that at present, Tancream isn’t available to in stores - but this is a very, very minor negative in and amongst a whole sea of enormous positives. And actually, ordering online is easier for most people these days, so it’s highly unlikely that this would bother many people!
I am so excited about the Tancream brand and I feel so lucky to have been gifted a bottle.
Tancream can be bought online now over at the Official Tancream Website, Lookfantastic & Just My Look.
I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post and I can't wait to share more with you soon! In the meantime, please check out my beauty section for more beauty-themed blog posts.
Until next time, lovelies!
Lots of love,
Grace x
