BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY PRESENT IDEAS FOR MUMS - 10 BIRTHDAY GIFT IDEAS YOUR MUM WILL LOVE.

My mum’s birthday is coming up very soon, so for the past couple of weeks, I’ve been racking my brains as to what to get her.

As someone who prides themselves on being a top gift-buyer, I alway pile tons of pressure on myself to come up trumps when it comes to buying birthday presents. So, for me, the task of shopping for a birthday gift for my mum is very big and very important.

My mum is amazing and she deserves to be showered with beautiful gifts and lots of love on her birthday - and I’m sure you all feel the same about your lovely mums, too. So, for this blog post, I thought I would pull together all the best gift ideas for mums - and fingers crossed, you’ll be left feeling super inspired!

Best Birthday Present Ideas For Mums

1. Chocolates

If your mum has got a sweet tooth, then what better way to say ‘I love you!’ than with a luxury box of chocolates? Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Boxes are sure to be a hit with any chocoholic mama - and as chocolates work as the perfect affordable birthday present idea for mums, you can couple them with some beautiful flowers or a bottle of her favourite wine. Perfect!

2. Flowers

And that takes me straight onto my next birthday gift idea for mums: flowers! You honestly just can’t beat a beautiful bunch of flowers, so whether you’re completely clueless as to what else to buy or you’re simply looking for something she’s guaranteed to love, a gorgeous bouquet is 100% the way to go.

If you want to really surprise your mum, you could look to order some flowers online and have them delivered directly to her. Bloom & Wild create the most stunning bouquets and they often run introductory offers for new customers, too.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to give the flowers to her yourself, why not check out the amazing collection of M&S bouquets? Marks & Spencer boasts some of the most stunning ready-made bouquets I’ve ever seen, and they’re nice & affordable, too.

3. Spa Day

One of my favourite things ever to do with my mum is head down to our best-loved spa, The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, in Knutsford. And let’s face it, the gift of a good old pamper & relaxation never loses its touch.

I like to use Spabreaks to book my spa getaways, as there are tons of spa hotels to choose from and the filtering system makes it super easy to find the best spas in the area you are looking for. Better still, this website is often much more affordable than many others, so you’re likely to get a good deal, too!

4. Beauty Products

If your mum is anything like mine, she loves to have a collection of luxury beauty products close to hand. So, why not treat her to some lavish skincare products or makeup products?

Makeup wise, lipstick is always a great idea because - providing you know what kind of shades she likes best - you can’t go far wrong. I find that a good old pinky nude lipstick is a great option, because it’s one that we all need. FYI, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick is a complete fail-safe, and arguably the most iconic nude lipstick in the world right now.

And when it comes to skincare, I always think it’s a good idea to buy something super special - something that provides an authentic ‘spa from home’ sort of vibe. And for that reason, I would recommend shopping skincare brands used in spas.

Brands such as Temple Spa, Elemis and Rituals are often used in spas around the UK.

I recently treated myself to the Temple Spa Toning Essence Mist (available to buy from Harrods) and it’s honestly just absolutely gorgeous. I’d highly recommend this both as a gift idea for mum and as one for yourself, too!

5. Something Sentimental

Or perhaps your mum would prefer something that she can hold onto forever? Keepsakes are always a great idea as they are completely invaluable and unique to each and every one of us.

Some of the best sentimental gift ideas for mums include framed photographs, drawings and prints, photobooks and items of jewellery. Monica Vinader (one of my favourite ever jewellery designers) offers a complimentary engraving service - which is just amazing. Myself and my husband Marc bought my mum a Monica Vinader Linear Silver Metallica Bracelet a few years ago for her birthday and we had it personalised on the inside of the silver bar. She absolutely loved it and she wears the bracelet all the time.

6. Afternoon Tea

Or, if your mum is partial to a flute of fizz, champagne afternoon tea!

Tea and cake is always a good idea, and so booking and afternoon tea as a birthday present for your mum is sure to make her day.

7. Salon Treatments

Just like me, my mum takes pride in her appearance and she loves a little trip to the beauty salon.

If your mum is the same, why not book one or two salon treatments for her? A gorgeous new set of gel nails to debut at afternoon tea is bound to put a smile on her face, meanwhile a head, neck and shoulder massage is bound to leave her feeling zen. Ahhhh.

8. Perfume

There’s something super magical about discovering a new perfume that you love, so, if you know the types of scents your mum likes best, then it might be a nice idea to treat her to a gorgeous new perfume.

My mum loves fresh, invigorating scents like the Jo Malone Grapefuit Cologne (another gift Marc and I bought her a couple of years back!)

Shopping for perfume - especially for somebody else - can be very tricky, indeed. So, my advice would be to think about the fragrances she has owned previously - who designed them, etc. and take it from there.

Personally, when it comes to perfume, the first brand that always pops into my head is Jo Malone - especially when it comes to gifting. This is because everything from Jo Malone is just so luxurious. The attention-to-detail is completely second-to-none and the whole experience is super special from start to finish. Some of the best Jo Malone perfumes (in my opinion) include the iconic Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne and the Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede.

9. Monthly Subscription

Monthly subscriptions are the gift that keeps on giving. So, if you want your mum to feel special every single month, then why not sign her up to a monthly subscription service?

From monthly magazine subscriptions to beauty box subscriptions and monthly flower subscription services, the possibilities with this gift idea really are completely endless.

Some of the best monthly subscription services for mums include the Bloom & Wild Monthly Flowers and Norlii Box (a Scandinavian subscription box made for interior design and home decor lovers - so cool!)

10. Nightwear

And finally, this list simply wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t suggest a pair of pretty new pyjamas

New nightwear is always a great idea, so if you’re looking for a birthday gift idea that you’re mum is sure to love, then a new set of pj’s, some slippers and a snuggly dressing gown is sure to get her seal of approval.

My favourite place to buy women’s pyjamas from is Boux Avenue. They are constantly releasing new, beautiful designs and packaging is just as beautiful as the products inside.

I really hope that you all found this blog post useful & I can’t wait to share more with you all very soon!

Lots of love,

Grace x
