For the first time in a long time, it actually feels as though we are getting a decent summer. I mean, it’s not often that your phone alerts you to the fact that it’s hotter in Manchester than it is in Barbados, is it?!
I’m loving all this warm weather (except for the sleepless nights!) and so is Eric. He really is the epitome of a summer baby! He just loves being outdoors, whether that be under the parasol eating strawberries in his high chair, in his paddling pool, or rolling around on the grass.
It’s wonderful to see, and it’s great that as parents, we have that freedom right now. How wonderful is it to take a break from the living room and enjoy the great outdoors with our babies?!
But whilst it’s lovely to get out and enjoy the sunshine, it’s also super important that we take extra special care of our little ones whilst it’s hot outside. I recently shared an article 'How To Protect Baby From The Sun - Top Tips On Baby Sun Protection' - but sun protection doesn’t stop at skincare - we need to ensure that we are taking great care of our baby’s eyes, too.
So, if you’ve been wondering where to buy baby sunglasses, or what are the best sunglasses for babies, then you’ve come to the right place.
For this blog post, I want to share a wonderful baby and toddler sunglasses brand with you all.
You may have heard of Banz before (the brand has been featured in a multitude of well-known publications such as The Daily Mail, American Baby and The New York Times, to name just a few!)

Banz specialises in creating ‘carewear for kids’, making this brand your one-stop-shop for protective accessories for babies, toddlers and small children alike.
And for myself and my family, discovering the Banz brand has been such a blessing - particularly when it comes to their amazing collection of baby sunglasses & toddler sunglasses. You can view all of the Banz See No Glare Sunglasses here.
My husband, Marc, first came across Banz after a particularly sunny day up North a few months ago. My mum and I had taken Eric out in his pram and no matter what we did, we couldn’t avoid the direct sunlight, meaning that the sunshine was glaring directly into Eric’s eyes.
Eventually, I had no option but to take my own sunglasses off and pop them on him so that he could see & so that he wasn’t so uncomfortable - but let’s face it, putting a pair of adult sunglasses on a baby (especially when they cost over £230!) isn’t exactly ideal…
So that’s where it started. As soon as we arrived home, I asked Marc to jump online and find the best baby sunglasses that he could. Some that he couldn’t pull off his face. That wouldn’t fall off. And that wouldn’t break easily.
And lucky for us, Banz answered every single one of our wishes.
Boasting an innovative, stretchy headband style design (a lot like swimming goggles but the band is fabric rather than rubber!), Banz baby sunglasses with strap can be adjusted easily to custom fit the size of your little one’s head, and the oval-shaped lenses perfectly frame baby’s eyes.
Eric has three pairs of Banz sunglasses - two of which we were lucky enough to be gifted by Banz. The starry baby sunglasses and the bicycle-adorned pair are part of Banz most recent collection of sunglasses for toddlers and babies, and they’re just so cute!
We love being able to mix and match his outfits by choosing between the three lovely pairs of kids sunglasses that he owns - but of course, one pair is more than enough.
Banz sunglasses are super hardwearing and slot perfectly into the little drawstring sunglasses bag provided. A sunglasses cleaning cloth comes with each pair, too - which, as any parent will know, is absolutely essential. Sticky little fingertips quickly find their way to lovely clean sunglass lenses, so a regular freshen up is key!
If your baby, toddler or young child loves being outside in the sun but you’ve been struggling to get hold of some high quality baby sunglasses, then I would definitely recommend taking a look at the Banz website. There are tons of beautifully-designed, affordable sunglasses available to choose from (baby boy sunglasses, baby girl sunglasses, unisex sunglasses - plus the rest!) - you will honestly be completely spoiled for choice.
I really hope you enjoyed this blog post & found it useful!
I can’t wait to share more with you all again very soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
