At least I thought I was, anyway.
After recently switching up my skincare routine - rather dramatically I might add - I’ve begun to discover, albeit a little bit of a late revelation - that in actual fact, you don’t always need to spend a pretty penny to get premium quality goods. In fact, there are tons of skincare essentials prices at prices less than £5 (yep, seriously) that do the job perfectly.
Now, you all know how much of a sucker I am for a new face wash or a toner - it’s like an addiction to me - and so when something catches my eye, I simply have to have it. Which is pretty much exactly what happened when I tried out the Garnier SkinActive range.
For those of you that visit my blog regularly, you may have already ready my review of the Garnier SkinActive range, but for those that haven’t, Be sure to head over to my post 'Why I Love The Garnier SkinActive Naturals Range' to find out more later.
For now though, allow me to talk you through my amazing triple investment...
Okay, so in retrospect, I probably didn’t need to buy both the rose water & the aloe formulas, but I’ll be honest here, deals, discounts & special offers leave me weak at the knees. So, when I saw that all Garnier skincare was on offer, I couldn’t help but snap up the bargain. Three for the price of two?! Sign me up, any day...
So here I am, just £18 ‘worse off’ so to speak, but sat here with glowing skin that I’m proud to call my own - which surely means I’m no worse off at all. Quite the contrary, actually. I’m totally winning!
The Garnier Skin Active range features a variety of products across four specialised skin types. So, whether you’ve got oily skin or dry skin (or anything else in between), then you’re sure to find a formula that works for you.
At this point, I’ve actually tried three of the formulas, partly because my skin is combination, but mostly because I just love trying new things.
But I have to say, they’ve all worked really well.
The rose water toner is soothing and gives the skin a really fresh & hydrated look, whilst the aloe formula has a gorgeous cooling effect.
I’m using both for different things - the aloe as an actual toner after I cleanse, and the rose water for spritzing onto my face (I use an empty spritz bottle I already own) - and the two products together really do work a treat.
Following application of my toners, I smooth on a thin layer of the Refreshing Botanical Jelly (which works as a great makeup base, may I add!) and allow to settle into my skin.
As someone who has always pledged the importance of paying good money for good skincare products, I never really thought I’d be saying this - but you really don’t need to break the bank to get great results.
The festive period left my skin looking & feeling tired and dull compared to usual, but thanks to the Garnier Skin Active range, my complexion is now glowing.
And now that my skin has been revived, my confidence has been boosted massively, too. Yay!
For those of you that have spent up your December pay packet already (let’s face it, we’ve all over-indulged over Christmas!) you now have my word - perfectly clear, gorgeous skin can be yours for less than a tenner.
And on that note, I’m off to celebrate - with a green tea - another great way to keep your complexion looking fabulous.
I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post and I can’t wait to share more with you very soon.
Lots of love,
Grace x
